I'm so glad someone else had the same experience as listening to a lot of people it's like the best bike ever made .

What didn't you like at first and now wouldn't go without?

Me, never. They seemed to be very unreliable in the early days plus 6v electrics weren't that clever. -
I know a few of you have owned them but for me the worst bike I owned was a BMW 1150GS. It was a feckin barge after being used to KTM's , I went around a corner once and ended up on the wrong side of the road. It had a good front brakes and that was it as far as I was concerned. I think it's the only bike I've owned that I haven't got a decent photo of but it looked like this..........

Bugger, I forgot about heated grips. They're the first thing I fit when I get a new bike -
Some good efforts this month

Sat Nav/GPS was something I wasn't particulary interested in years ago but now I wouldn't be without one. By using the GPS I have found so many cool roads/trails that would be much harder to find just using a map. I still carry a map with me for a larger overview but the GPS pinpoints exactly where you are and the quickest or the best route to where you're going. -
I don't necessarily change my helmets every five years, mainly because I have more than one. The thought of leaving it 5 YEARS before cleaning it though is making me cringe. I clean mine at least twice a year, more if I've been somewhere hot .

Come on @skyrider if I can go out to the garage and take a photo I'm sure you can manage one .......................

Surely that's only if you're racing. My old KTM400 had over 850 hours on it and it still ran absolutely fine

That 3 Step place looks bloody great. The guys on the DR650 thread (on ADV) had a meet there a few years back

Today I'm running a marathon to Snowdon and back, tomorrow I'm swimming the English channel while blowing raspberries at the French trawlermen and on Sunday I'll be scaling the north face of the Eiger

Het Jed, got any photos of your bike in Greece ? what part of Greece do you live ? I don't think we've had anyone from that part of the world before. What say you @XTreme

I shall recount my funny Wurzles story at some time.

I saw Marti Caine in a club somewhere near Usk in the early eighties , I was pissed as a fart but she was very, very funny. I think the club was called the Stardust Club , anyone remember it @XTreme @Sir Fallsalot @Specs ??

I'm calling out your judgment there Jed, unless of course you like photos of abandoned buildings and top-boxes

Not annoying at all and anyway, since @Six30 upped the game with his artwork (making mine look shoddy) I've increased my pencil case from 6 to 8 crayons

I really hope it's worth it Fred , the thing is that bike has served you very well in the past
