From what I've seen watching the footbal (not very scientific, I know), the Spanish seem to be the most complient on wask wearing.

What tym said. It's when you leave a bike standing for a while that you can have issues, otherwise it's no big deal if it's used frequently. After next month all of my bikes could be left standing for up to 6 months so I will be putting fuel stabilizer in all of them.

Long day out that Fred, Motel Hill brings me out in a sweat just thinking about it

Well I'm going to disagree with you there as judging by the look of his leg the Welsh NHS must be tight as fuck

65% of those being hospitalised in UK at the moment haven't been vaccinated

On my Dakar (same engine as yours) I did a trip to the Pyrenees riding down through France into Spain with lots of trail riding and it averaged 71mpg, that was better than both my mates DR350's.
-
I've never really worried about mpg until I got my CRF250 and it was doing 85mpg, that opened my eyes a bit as the KTM I had at the time wouldn't get past 37mpg . Well chuffed with the Tenere as it's averaging 67mpg in nearly 5000 miles.

It does, my wife did the same for my 40th

More logical (to me) when writing/sending/accepting emails. Also 99% of the time the spam system works as well, get's rid of the Nigerian prince's asking me to invest in their coconut farm

Who's got the Springer , is it a Springer ?

Last stop was the church at Boughrood which has a 'Dead House' in the grounds I did 227 miles yesterday which is probably like a trip to the shops for our American friends but on our little roads is a fair trip. The Tenere 700 impresses me more and more each time I ride it, it's a bloody ace bike

I was a bit ihungry now so I found a nice spot on the Abergwesen Pass to eat my sandwiches ................ Once I got down to Beulah I took the road to Newbridge-on-Wye, what a cracking road that is, lovely sweeping bends and undulations, my semi-gay tyres were enjoying it. Found a lovely church at Llanafan Fawr............. I took a back road down to Builth Wells and then an unclassified road down to my favourite bench............

So I made it down to the chapel at Soar y Mynydd and started to go up the byway but it was bloody carnage. Queues of 4x4's trying to get around mountain bikers coming the other way. I managed to do a 27 point turn and rode back out, Lots of peeps about looking at the chapel........... I rode on through to the Devil's staircase but couldn't take the route I wanted as the road was closed. I didn't want to head to Tregaron so I went back to the chapel and took the other road. Well things happen for a reason , don't they ? as I was now in a position to do some Dark Motorcycling a la Spanish Ginge ..... I don't know what it is (perhaps @Sir Fallsalot) can help but I suspect it was an attempt at some sort of hydro-electric thingymabob ? Anyway the gate was open so I went for a mooch......... I didn't go inside as it was locked and there might be a Dragon's nest in there anyway There was a lovely small waterfall below the dam...........

It started with Covid Pedro, my riding has become more singular (is that the right word ?) as well. Next tyres are already in the rack at work, bought them 6 months ago but these Pirelli's are wearing well. Next ones are not gay.......

Overland event is smaller and geared towards the more serious dudes who like riding in strange countries and sleeping in a hedge It involves 4 wheeled vehicles as well and if you haven't got a sticker on your vehicle from Patagonia they'll probably ignore you .

So since covid restrictions have eased i've been waiting to do a fairly long day around Wales. So over the bridge and a great ride up through Usk to get to the Heads of the Valleys road and on past Brecon towards Usk Reservoir, somewhere I haven't been for over 10 years. I had a good look but couldn't see Fred anywhere........... Anyway, after a coffee from my flask and a good chinwag with a local who had an ace accent from Camden Town I back tracked a while incase I saw any riders covered in shit with a hairy dude leading them . I even stopped by the hell hole cafe in Llandovery just incase they were hanging around but no luck. So I moved onwards and out towards Llyn Brianne , on the way I needed a comfort break (we have ladies present so I'm not going to say have a piss) and found this ace old bridge over the River Towy, unfortunately my phone had a hissy fit and I've lost the photos but I can tell you that it was built in 1822 . I'd forgotten how good the road is around Llyn Brianne, there is some stunning scenery around there........... I also noticed at this point that my tyres are becoming more gay by the minute..........
