  1. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I'm not sure I can answer that. We don't have a lot of sand (that you can ride on) in the UK so I don't have much experience to compare but the T700 is a fair bit heavier than a DR650.
  2. I'd never knock a Cortina Pete but the one I had was definitely a lemon, not only in colour ?
  3. The front forks were the let down, to softly sprung, A lot of owners put differnet front ends on them, mainly Yamha conversions as I remember. It was a very nice bike but the DR650 is a better bike imo.
  4. Worst car I had was a Daytona Yellow Mk3 Cortina, I felt a twat as I sold my Suzuki TS250ER to buy the Ford and the seller stitched me right up. The head gasket blew after two weeks (he disguised the overheating issue by taking the thermostat out) and the two of the wheels only had 3 wheel nut holding them on. It looked like this but a lot shabbier............
  5. One of my favourite Dakar related photos, me with Patsy Quick....... Patsy Quick is an English off road motorcycle racer. She was the first British woman to compete in the Dakar Rally in 2003 and became the first British woman to complete it in 2006.
  6. I found some more photos of the repaint, most of the panels I found on ebay then I prepped and painted them myself.
  7. Takes me back to my youth, I had that on a imported 7'' single.
  8. I'm trying to build my number thingy up ?
  9. I've been told that it's always 42 ?
  10. Any photos of your Serow, I have a soft spot for them as it was a Serow that got me trail riding again.
  11. Brilliant Yen and all that done on a Peugeot ?
  12. Yes indeed, I'm a mere lightweight in that department compared to the master that is TYM
  13. Back to the ride..................... Nice one Michelle, it's good to see someone getting out on their bike. I'll bet it feels a whole lot better now with the new bearings
  14. I only managed a 3 week ban some years ago ?
