Rallying Your Honda CRF450L Just Got Easier With This New Kit
boboneleg replied to SweatHog's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT
Lovely, but you've still got to change the oil every 600 miles and it's soooooooooooooooo feckin expensive to buy the basic bike. -
I wonder if Tammy has a warrantee on her stuff...

Ah, she probably liked the view from up there.

He'll be faking a crash on his bike next ?

Excellent Fred, that's the thing about where you live, you don't have to go far to find cool places to ride Many years ago I worked in that housing estate on top of Penrhys, boy was that a rough place to live. I haven't done the lane through the golf course for about 20 years I reckon, used to love riding through there with Paul just to piss off the golfers . This lane looks so much fun to ride.... Do you know who the memorial bench is for ? Last time I rode this lane was about 10 years ago and it had about two foot of snow on it, we had to give up in the end and turn back

So you had 'one in the departure lounge ' then Fred
-
I think you'll find that's Yen's area of expertise

Thing is Pete, you look after your bikes so hopefully you'll get a good p/x and the new owner of the strom will get a good bike.
-
Go get it Pete You don't go on trips abroad or to the other side of Spain so it will do you fine. I've been to France twice on my 250 and as long as you leave motorways out it's absolutely fine, just tune yourself in to the slightly slower speeds, you see more of the countryside anyway. I'll probably be in your position before long (dodgy right knee and hip) but I know that I'll be able to carry on riding on the 250

No bikes for me this weekend. It is our 30th wedding anniversary so we are off to a posh hotel in the Cotswolds for a weekend of realxation and stuffing our faces ? It must be posh as I've even washed my car today as I didn't want to turn up with it covered in dust ? https://www.lordsofthemanor.com/

What a fantastic ride report and the photos of the scenery is spectacular. This shot is a bit spooky for me......... I don't know if we had some sort of telepathic thing going on but yesterday I took this photo ?

Well I have to see a consultant soon (been postponed for 6 months due to Covid) about another op on my leg to try and cure the phantom limb pain . If I have the op it will be my 11th but unless he truly convinces me that they can get it right I may not bother. It will mean another 6 months on crutches and I feel like I'm losing riding time day by day as it is ?

I'm sure I remeber him posting a photo of his family and they were all nude except him ?

I had a GS650 Dakar some years ago, took it to the Spanish Pyrenees and it averaged 71mpg, that included doing trails. It was the one with the twin-plug head, better performance and mpg. The downside to it was the front end, very soft suspension. A lot guys coverted then to Yamaha forks or KTM.

Absolutely brilliant Fred I've ridden up here with Paul many years ago but I had no idea that tunnel was close by

Yep, never buy a bike that lives by the seaside or a car/truck for that matter.
-
A better idea Tym is to cut up an old plastic container (oil or similar) and use them to line the soft bag.

Seaton, Devon

I'm not going to 'like' this if you don't mind Pete. I've seen enough of the inside of hospitals without you taking photos of them
-
OMG, you couldn't make that up. Best not bother with the rest of the course then Chris ?
-
Yep, I'm going with uneven road surface. When you're trail riding that sort of thing happens about every 30 seconds
