  1. Pissing down again here, no chance of getting bike out to wash it so just having a lazy day now ...............
  2. I didn't say anything, I didn't want to draw attention or @Six30 will want photos .............
  3. Was Billy bob out on your run today .................................
  4. Nice one Fred It was moist on our ride today , most of the first five lanes were a pure slipfest and the rest were like riding in streams . I've only ever ridden down those steps , I bet they claimed a few when you went up them
  5. Well whoever it was they have switched it, could be a simple mistake .
  6. I tried to invoke a 24hr ban but it seems that my powers are not as strong as He-man ............
  7. I like those lanes around there but not London Road , even if you've got a group of four of you working together it still takes ages to get through it.
  8. Bonkers isn't it Clive, £10 a month on giff gaff for me .
  9. Fuckmine, can you imagine the repayments on that
  10. We're out tomorrow for Tony's xmas ride. Not sure what direction we're going , I think it may depend on the weather. If we're going up the Fosseway then I'll just go on the Donkey but if we're heading to rut central (Wiltshire ) I'll probably go on the Yamaha.
  11. @Sir Fallsalot did you do your TRF ride ?
  12. I totally agree with that and yet I reckon they will be worse off as regards to the state pension as some of them won't be eligible until their seventies the way it's going on I won't get a full state pension either as I finished full time work when I was 51 . I'm not going to make voluntary contributions to top it up as it won't make a huge difference,
  13. Absolutely agree, but the trick is to work hard when your younger and fitter so you can relax more in your later years.. I think this is the point that Fred is trying to make ?
  14. Blimey, this is a tough one . I'm inclined to vote for Fred because that's the sort of view I like but I feckin hate ruts Moon's photo is great because I love those roads in France Pedro's view is bl**dy awesome but I'm voting for Renegade, a classic bike with a view that is one of my favourites
  15. That's the place to get too Fred, it's definitely not all about the money .
  16. The biggest thing for me in 2023 was that my son reached the age of 30 years, which considering his traumatic start to life was pretty amazing,. We had a great trip to Italy to celebrate with him which he really enjoyed. I also managed to get to Italy again later in the year but this time on my bike , the last time I did the Stella Alpina rally was 13 years before that so it was great to go back and ride those iconic trails. Health wise I had a decent year but I'm definitely getting older and I can't really see me riding big bikes anymore, the weight is definitely a factor and getting at least one foot on the floor confidently now is a bit of a must.
  17. Interesting but I cannot see how any of those bikes listed there would be any good for a beginner ...................
  18. Fitted a new battery on the Cube this morning , retrieved a parcel from down the road as my Uncle had incorrectly addressed it . Sorting out my calendar for next year now , very exciting ................
