  1. They'd love this culture Chris.......
  2. There's a glaring omission there @MooN I don't think this image has ever been more fitting!
  3. Suzuki seem to have stuck with building their bikes in Japan more than the others. Stroms have always been built there.

But we know what you're famous for wearing Yen!
  5. I had the top of the range motor......think it was 180bhp. It could bloody motor.

......and with reckless abandon I might add!
  7. They're a cracking car Bob.......that one went like hell.
  8. I was in a Skoda Octavia!
  9. You're not going to hide like you did in 2005 when I went past?
  10. Something to keep in mind Chris! @Buckster is going to ride from Scotland! He could hook up with you in Auxerre! However, it's unknown at this time whether he'll have a camera in his possession.
  11. Brits in Spain Ray! Generally they're a fucking embarrassment! Very few here.......but I steer well clear. Totally out of their depth, always moaning, always backstabbing, always making up stories, or shafting other Brits (cos they don't have the language ability to shaft Spaniards) and unable to leave their over-entitled Brit mentality at the airport. They'll tell you they were a captain of industry back in Britain......a real big player. Served in the Army, Navy, and RAF simultaneously! Now they're relegated to trying to flog useless crap they scavenged at the rubbish tip at Brit car boot sales.

I started on Brits so I had to recalibrate my mind to use the gear lever on the left!
  13. I wouldn't buy anything other than Jap. I liked the GS I had.....but I just didn't trust it as I would with a Japanese bike.
  14. My goal is to make it to Monza in 3 years time to commemorate 50 years!
  15. You don't forget much Pedro! ?

I'd definitely consider that as an option! Hell......we're only here once.....go with what you feel is right. We did 15 years ago.....no regrets whatsoever!

Would you still be able to work as you're doing now?

Would you sort of park the boat up somewhere on a longterm basis......or move about?

Yes that's a nice spot! The only thing with basing choices on areas by gauging them on affluence etc is that even though the people could have money doesn't mean they're not complete and utter cunts. In my experience they are......they're over-entitled and think they're something. People who speak like me are looked down on as low class. I'd prefer to be around solid, decent, working class people with no airs and graces.

Certainly an option Bruce.......I've known a few people who've lived on boats! Magnum was one. But there were no children to think of........and in your case that's a critical factor in terms of schooling etc. Do you know of any others who've done a similar thing who could advise?

From what you've said it doesn't sound a very nice place to live Bruce. I'm sure there's more pleasant places to be.......we moved around a lot because we wanted an environment that was more in sync with us. And ultimately we never found it in Britain.......which is why we came here. It's not running away......it's making lifestyle choices that you feel will give you and the family a better quality of life.
