Our Transalps from that era were made in Spain. Which explains why they were so fucking lazy!

What exactly constitutes an Adventure Motorcycle

We're just starting out.......so any content is good content Russ. It's the content that will get us up on the Google search results. Since @BusBoy put up his sailing report we're now featuring quite prominently in the Maritime search results. -

Always having an excuse ready is a by-product of Suzuki ownership Bruce! -
Yeh.......but my Strom is a genuine Jap!

It's all about business! The manufacturers are selling an image.....like the Harley Lifestyle for example. But as I've always said.....the bike doesn't make the man, it's the man that makes the bike. I never judge people on the bike they have........more on what they actually do with the bike. So in principle any bike can be an adventure bike! -

I've spoken to people about this place and some have said......"I don't have an Adventure Motorcycle". My opinion is it's more about what you do WITH the bike rather than the bike itself. Look at all the GS's with the dustbins that never go anywhere for example........while there's people riding round the world on Honda 90's. So I'd say if you're getting out doing trips (on or off road), visiting places of interest (not the local bike meet up), and doing it all by motorcycle......then by definition it's an adventure motorcycle! -
Hi Jules........glad you made it! ?
-
Hell of a run Alan! You guys should think about doing a trip down here! Not everybody ends up in Hospital you know!
-
I think they were made in Thailand weren't they? The Strom was built in the Suzuki factory in Toyokawa! Which is in JAPAN as I understand it! Oh look.......there's the factory......no doubt full of inscrutable Japs! I'd say that's an excuse for Suzuki ownership in my book!

Yeh.......very sad about Six's father! He was apparently in very good health and used to swim 3 times a week. But it still got him. Glad to hear you're on the mend.......and I'd say the Triumph is a wiser choice than the Harley. By far!

Hi Dave! So the rest of you know, Dave's a friend of mine from another forum. And he's in the process of recovering from Covid-19! How you feeling Dave?
-
Great to see you Terry! You need to get another bike now......this site needs some of your carnage on it!
-
Clear your browser cache first Alan.......just to ensure that isn't contributing.
-
You get the link when you click the "Share" button on YouTube @Specs Then you just paste the link in the text editor here exactly as it is......you don't need to click any other buttons.

Most bizarre Xmas Day I've ever had........and I've had a lot of Xmas Days! Because it was 20C.........and I actually ended up sweating doing the trails around the reservoir! Not only that, I also faced the trauma of one or two fluffy white clouds in the sky.......but I got through it! And no Support Vehicle either I might add!

Hi Paul.......good to see you!

Great to see you Sofia.......but not everybody here is UK based. There's me and a couple of other Brits who are in Spain! And one Brit in France! Plus there's a few Americans here as well. And you're going to do Moto Tours as well as a Veterinary practice? That's brilliant! ? Post up some of your bike pics in Show us your Bikes!

Hi Sofia......nice to see you!

The original water cooled XT's had a jerkiness as well......would have though they'd have sorted that by now!
-
Now that's a name from the past! Did he get banned......I can't remember! If he did, I didn't do it!
-
Excellent Chris! You going to hang on to the Triumph as long as you did with the Transalp?
