  1. Got tomorrow planned out......it was a place I planned to visit earlier in the Summer but it was too hot! It was a Spanish Civil War Internment Camp that was later used as the location for a Sergio Leone western!
  2. And you could take your bike along as company for Bob's WR!
  3. You think that's bad? Well I have regretted starting this forum many times! It was only supposed to last till the end of Lockdown......so that's something else I've managed to fuck up again!
  4. You really need to minimise the risk of mechanical failure when you're over here! May I suggest....
  5. I had a Recovery in 2007 (Opel Astra), 2016 (XT600), 2022 on two occasions (R1200GS), and 2023 (Xsara Picasso)......all done within the hour!
  6. But he's not insured through a Spanish Insurance company is he? Those gigs will always take preference over anything else.
  7. It's OK......you don't own the Enfield now! It's interesting that when you had the CB500 you never got any abuse......yet mine is the most reviled bike on this forum!
  8. Over here, Recovery is included in the price of the insurance. And it's not done by the likes of an organisation such as the AA/RAC etc......it's a network of independent garages right through Spain. Now if you're an Independent garage who's got a contract with the likes of Linea Directa, Liberty Seguros (that I use), Mapfre etc then you'd better be on the ball. Cos that's a regular income stream that you don't want to lose. Consequently they're very, very good.......and the local recovery guy for Liberty Seguros is Angel at La Union Garage!. He's only about half a mile away, so it's great peace of mind if you've got a GS!
  9. Good points Saul......as a newer member you're able to be more objective. Everybody should read what Saul said and take it on board......me included I have to say.
  10. Even cheaper in Jaen province.....4 bed with garage €45K/£39K. If the Govt hadn't destroyed the value of the Pound you could probably have got that for less than £30K https://www.andalucianpropertysales.com/property/casa-canuela
  11. Wow......that's a strong girl!
  12. FFS! He's obviously got more money than sense then!
  13. That must have been a happy workplace then?
  14. No! You walked out and left everything behind! In fact I told you via PM not to be so fucking stupid but you didn't listen!
  15. Much as I love the riding experience on a GS, it's situations like that one that keep me owning a boring Honda!
  16. Worst thing the EU ever did was let all those Eastern European countries in 20 years ago.
  17. No......you lost the Mod gig cos you went clean off your head with BikerBabe and walked out! Isn't that right @Renegade?
  18. Absolutely! I watch a lot of homeless documentaries on YouTube and some of the stories are really sad. Recently saw one with a woman in her 50's who'd been a teacher! She was working as an English teacher in Egypt, then she married an Egyptian (God knows why) who controlled everything and who eventually threw her out on the streets. She managed to make her way back to the UK and then had to live on the streets.
  19. All that stuff is very scrappy! Julian Jackson was the hardest pound for pound puncher there's ever been. Gerald McClellan's brain damage was caused by his two fights with Jackson when he took some huge shots and still stayed on his feet. By the time the Benn fight came he was continually blinking and in no condition whatsoever to fight.
  20. You and Six would have been the dream ticket.
