Another thing is that apparently Spain is refusing residency to third country nationals if they have a criminal record. They're obviously doing checks on people now! And even if they meet the much higher financial thresholds needed, if they've got form they'll be refused.

You're so clueless it's unbelievable! They're applying the rules that they do to all third countries. Which is what Britain wanted to be.......and what Bozo actually signed up to. @Tango @boboneleg......am I speaking the truth here!

Apparently they don't have the manpower to even do the customs checks on goods that they're supposed to do. So the strict checks on goods are only being done on the EU side. My European removal clients have a Customs Agent in Europe to process all the paperwork relating to bringing goods in. Going back into Britain with stuff is no bother.

You probably need to ask @Six30.......he's very well informed on such matters!

Having FOM doesn't mean that they are contributing financially to the country they choose to live in. You don't automatically get free healthcare etc by having FOM.......you have to pay into the system or have private medical insurance. And if you've overstayed the 90 day limit for Brits, you are there illegally and can be deported. They can't deport Europeans obviously.

Our friend Antonio who owns the stables where we keep the horses is a very accomplished horseman......but he can't ride Dewi for three reasons! 1. He hates Antonio and tries to boot him at every opportunity. And Dewi has the strength to kick holes in brick walls! 2. He's much too strong to be physically controlled. 3. He only understands voice commands in English. He has ridden Dewi a couple of times in the past but it took him about a week to recover! So he won't be doing that again!

Bloody hell.......hope she's feeling better soon! Nothing gone wrong here........so far! But the day is still young!

If you can ever make it over here she can ride them all day. Bethan is very sedate, but Dewi can be a bit uncooperative at times......however he burns himself out after 5 minutes acting like a twat so after that point he's OK.

Not me that's for sure! The wife used to.......but with her osteoarthritis she can't do it now!

What I notice is they're not as tall as the Andalucians! Bethan on the left is a small horse for her breed, but Dewi is a fucking monster. No way anybody will get on him without steps! And he's now so fat after eating so many almonds recently that the rider will nearly be in a splits position when they sit on him.

Looks like it'll be Sunday for me......which is my preferred day anyway. Next week don't look too clever so I'd better make the most of it!

Back from Baza! I went into Juan Cortes.......while the wife went into the supermarket. Incredibly I actually managed to get a can of WD40 chain cleaner in the hardware store! Ask in a bike shop and they look at you daft!
