You can only choose one and you must say why!

Recent events have led us to the point where we need to appoint two Mods! So in case I get accused of favouritism I'll put it to the Members! This nominations thread runs until Wednesday morning.......and you get the chance to nominate who you think should go forwards into the vote! You can nominate ONE person and you must say WHY you think they'd be suitable! If you get nominated but you don't want to be considered then post your refusal in here and you'll be withdrawn. Then the person who nominated you can nominate somebody else. One thing I must point out is there's no use nominating anybody who isn't on here regularly.......we want the Mods on here not on Facebook or elsewhere! Any no show Mods will have to be replaced, so think carefully before you accept a nomination. OK......give me your nominee and say why they'd do a good job in the role! OR.......if you would prefer that we stay without Mods then say so.

The thing is it needs somebody who would be on here on a regular basis......not intermittently! I think we need a Poll otherwise I'll be accused of favouritism.

They have raised valid points regarding the content being posted by a certain member.......and longtime members have mentioned it as well. So it's something that has to be dealt with irrespective of who has the concerns.

I'm not talking about hacking it within the context of anti-semitism or anything else of that nature. I'm referring to it within the constraints of general banter. Of course things like that are unacceptable, and as it is, I've spoken to the individual concerned and asked him to refrain from any more conspiracy stuff......whatever they may be. There's only so much I can do on here given my real life commitments......so I'm going to appoint two Mods who will ensure nothing of that nature appears on here again.

As I've said before, I don't always see every post here......and I don't follow every link that may be posted. So if anybody here sees something which you feel is out of order than PM me and I'll deal with it.

I have no wish to ever be seen in a place like that! How is it that when I post ruins etc people say it's a miserable place? Then when Fred posts something like that he's the fucking man?

Tango was a Mod on another forum......and probably the best one they ever had. But this isn't the other forum......there's a much more volatile membership here, and it's a fact that a lot of people can't hack it. So what do you do? Dumb it down and make it gentle so the guys with bike valets, manservants and butlers can cut the mustard?

I tracked down everybody that I could find from the past......after all, there's been misunderstandings over the years with a few people.....so it was a sort of new beginning. Obviously I would hope that those individuals would post in a positive way on here given the gesture that's been made.
