We definitely want to grow the forum.....without it growing we risk it going the way of it's predecessors. The problem is.....growing it with what type of people? Most of us here are old, working class, lifetime bikers and greasers........there's a big culture difference compared to later generations. Do we all have to become PC and tone our language down? That's not us.....and I don't think many of us could maintain that persona for long. It's not who we are! I've always felt it's more a case of attracting like-minded people who feel at home in this type of oldschool environment.

A number of you replied to the thread in Motorcycle Chat by the user "Owen" asking for advice on a bike that had had a bad PDI. Well for reasons unknown he deleted his thread then requested that his account be deleted.....which I've obviously complied with. Not sure what to make of that really!

How is it public you thick twat......no names or specifics are mentioned? Unless you happen to know the name of the three service providers and the venture capitalists?

There's still some decent guys there as members.......so I'm just doing the right thing. I didn't want to make it public......it's a business matter and I wanted to speak to Stu personally. But because of the way he does things that wasn't possible. When you confirmed that you got the "Service Denied" message then it was obvious what he'd done, and like New Years Eve 2020 I wanted to know why. It's his prerogative to ban who he wants, but at least have a justifiable reason and then inform them why.

I told you earlier.....to give Stu that message! Because if the shit hits the fan with his hosting environment and all his data gets lost (which does happen).......then it'll be "XTreme is responsible......he's the one who told me to use them". That was back in 2011.....but there's been three takeovers since then! And now it's in the hands of venture capitalists!

I just mentioned how bizarre it was that they'd banned me despite me not having posted on there for over 3 years. After all, I can't think of any other places who ban members when they don't post!

@boboneleg......you can post this over there if you're not banned yet. The reason I tried to login (and found I was banned) was to PM Stu about a potential problem that's going to be heading his way.....in terms of Hosting. Back in 2011 I advised him to use the provider that I was using. He's still there, but I'm in the process of moving all my servers from them to somebody else because there's a trainwreck coming. Obviously I work in the industry so I get the background on what's happening that end users won't know, so I just wanted to give him the heads up. If I don't, and things get bad then no doubt I'll be blamed for that as well based on my recommendation back in 2011. Which actually turned out to be a good one, but a lot has changed since then. If he doesn't want to hear the advice that's his choice......at least I tried to do the right thing by not leaving him in the dark.

They're Public Health Warnings! Us old guys need a stark reminder that we're not young guys anymore. If it saves one person from going through the pain that I've suffered over the last year then it will all be worth it.

@Motobiker didn't know so I was just bringing him up to speed. After all, he is a medical professional.

Unfortunately I haven't been up to anything for the last two months Tony......as I had a Hernia operation in early December. The op turned out to be a lot bigger than originally expected........ .......and recovery takes longer when you're nudging 70! So I've played it safe by not getting back on the bike yet. Bit frustrating because we had good weather over Xmas and New Year but I've just had to be sensible about it.
