No.....still here. But I could well be nodding off soon!

Finally had a dump after 3 days!

Obviously I won't be able to do much......and I can't imagine I'll be back out on the bike till the end of the year. Any of you lot doing anything?

Still feeling rough.....but the swelling may have gone down as the incision is a lot more sore. Balls are still black and blue.

Glad it turned out OK in the end Scott. Do you still go on Alex's forum? I just looked on there now as I hadn't visited it for years, and it's full of adverts everywhere.

Got back from Health Centre and fell asleep for a couple of hours cos I haven't slept well. Stomach is still a bit queasy but at least I don't feel like puking.

Doc gave me an injection in my ass for the nausea.

Seen the nurses and they cleaned it up and changed the bandage to a thinner one. They couldn't believe the size of the incision.......seem like I've got about 10 or 11 metal staples in it. But it's very clean and no infection. Got to go back at 12 to see a Doctor to get something for this nausea cos I still feel like puking.

The severe pain on the wound isn't as bad today......as long as I'm careful. But it's still very sore obviously. At this point the worst thing for me is feeling sick.......but I guess that's a reaction to the general anaesthetic and all the stuff they pumped into me. Got to go the Medical Centre later this morning, hopefully they can give me something for it.

Just woke up and had a good puke.... which I've needed for the last day or so.

Yeh......seems to be a common thing. How long were you off work, and what was your total recovery time Dave?

I didn't......I could eat up to 8PM. It's the reaction to the General Anaesthetic!

I'm supposed to do a bit to lower my blood pressure, but unlike @boboneleg I won't be viewing it as some sort of leisure pursuit.

Apparently the wife told me this info yesterday but I didn't remember because I was pretty bleary at the time. It seems the surgeon came out to see her when they'd finished and said the operation had lasted over an hour because the Hernia was so big. Normally they take about 40 minutes. And because it was so involved they ended up giving me a general anaesthetic. I had no idea of that, all I can remember was being on the table and it didn't seem to go on for too long. Turns out I was knocked out completely.......which probably accounts for the fact that I've been feeling a bit sick since I had it done!
