  1. You'll be an online presence by then, part of a hive mind bike forum. Your withered mange covered body will just be on a breathing machine so you can still post on here via the data plug in the back of your neck (actually, you'll probably be wireless). It'll be a new era, but the ride reports may be limited.
  2. New Prince of Wales, ordered the drawbridge to be lifted!
  3. Aren't Bimbles them things that collect rubbish in south west London?
  4. Your Queen is a bit tasty though, King of Spain is a jammy git.
  5. A penny would be different, I'd lever that up, that's a good luck thing. "Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you'll have good luck."
  6. My son was a chef for a few years until a major career change. He still dabbles, all a bit too burny for me, but he does send me the occasional food prep video he's made.
  7. Just walked down to my local supermarket a few minutes ago and spotted this again, still in exactly the same place. I first saw it a few months ago and tapped it with my foot. When it didn't move I knew it was the famous glued down coin trick beloved of children in my youth. The kid's probably forgotten all about it now, but I bet he watched for ages in the first week as people tried to pick it up.
  8. Plus of course, Pete and Renegade get a new Prince.
  9. End of an era. All the coins, bank notes, the national anthem title, new pillar boxes, police badges, regimental titles, stamps, court papers, court crests etc will be slowly changed over the next few years with CRiii.
  10. This is ideal for remote camping. Glass half full and all that.
  11. Had a meeting with a developer today in Shoreditch. I cut through the old Spitalfields fruit and veg market, they have gone a bit statue mad it seems. I don't know who left a few brand new site coats in the footwell of the scooter.

    Jury Duty

I think it's still the best chance of a fair trial. In the middle ages the jury had to know you (I know him m'lud, he's a lying fucker he is, so we say guilty whatever the evidence), nowadays it's the opposite.
  13. I was given clear instructions on how to get in and what not to lean on in case it snapped off in my hand, the plastic has not aged well it seems. I couldn't have done it a few weeks ago when I had a bad back.
  14. You are Tony Stark and I claim my five ponds!

    Jury Duty

When I did it I made money, only did a week but stayed off work for the second week on the profits. That's because I was very badly paid at the time though. Idiot that I was I thought I would not get chosen during selection as they wouldn't want a long haired scruff in a leather jacket. How wrong I was, it's the neat and tidy people in suits they try and get rid of during selection.

    Jury Duty

I think he can claim travel expenses, but probably not accommodation. No idea how they work out travel costs. I'd be more worried about being late, more chance of a problem with the roads over that sort of a distance, especially in October when the clocks change. Plus of course, you can be sent home early or even straight away some days because they don't need you, that'd be annoying after you'd driven or got the train all that way.

    Jury Duty

My son has been called for jury service in October. 110 mile round trip each day for two weeks unless he gets a long trial.
  19. Just got back from the Copdock bike show. The weather report has been waning of foul weather all week, so naturally I am burnt with panda eyes from my sunglasses. I stopped and spoke to a man with some small antique generators running and saw he had a Sinclair C5 on display so we talked about that for a while. I asked him what they were like to pedal and he said quite easy, you can get up to quite a speed in them just pedalling. Then he asked if I wanted to have a go around the field. He asked me twice and next thing I know he had lifted the rope and was showing me how to get in the thing without breaking the fragile part and how to put my feet on the pedals so as not to bang them on the upswing. I did a small lap of a bumpy grass field and he was right, very easy to pedal, steer and brake, even with my hand under my bum on the handlebars.
  20. I want a pair of those boots.....Does that make me a tranvestite?
