Well it's back in the heat....got a little breack from the snow...nearly dropped it...but with my superior strength saved it...the dam ramp slid on the ice has soon has the back wheel was on it...

Went with a lithium...challenger been sitting for 2 months now without the tender...and it still cranks....so the original battery was crap...

I'll have to check if the original tank sticker are still available from KTM...if not I'll get them copied out... and have them cleared over ...

I think it's 6 weeks off...but the work we do is physically challenging...example wheels of a half ton can weight close to 100 lbs...we will give him and extra couple of weeks to recover fully..

The bike is currently stored in a shed in my backyard...still snowing this morning...I'll pull it out soon and bring it in the heated garage and start working on the paint skeem ..maybe tomorrow weather permiting.

Well I've just decided this morning to take a week holiday...one of are employees is on call for a hernia surgery and will be off for a couple of months or so....so it's now or ever...anyway shop is kinda slow after the holidays...does that every year...should pick up again spring time...

Hasn't really gone anywheres...I'm still a dual sport bike fanatic...just recent years all of my friends switched over to cruisers ...and the KTM doesn't like going slow ..

Gonna check if the dealer if they can re-map it without affecting warranty...thinking of getting the arrow cat delete pipe mostly for heat and weight saving...but I would enjoy it to rumble more...

Some might not agree with my colour choice..lol...black isn't always black...I think it will be one of a kind and will be sharp looking ...

I mentioned before that I couldn't use it on long rides...I can still do long rides but solo..I have to get off the thing after a few hundred km..comparing with the other bike with I can do 800 km days without skipping a beat...only limited by the fuel range...it's like comparing a sport car to a Rolls-Royce.

Besides that the bike is a peach...engine is simply amazing..transmission is silky smooth..had a few glitches at the start...annoying coolant leak and coil connection coming apart on cylinder 2.

Yes I've done some searching on the subject...most I think is caused by the pickup coil flywheel problem..

Oh another thing that's needs looking after is the goose neck...seems loose to me..after 10 thousand km.

I've decided to keep the 1290...the factory warranty runs out late may...it's still not perfect..got this annoying problem since new ..low revs 3000 rpm or so 3 and 4 gear pull the engine cuts out for a fraction of a second sending a shock wave through the bike...another thing I just don't like the orange...looked at a few graphics kits but nothing caugh my eyes...think I'll be removing the plastic and have them professionally painted glossy black...to resemble blackbetty..I like the post apogeleptic look.

All in all was beautiful day..not to cold....a real Canadian wonderland..

Few pics from yesterday...what a wack of . Busting some trails...the atv was working hard..found a sigh with Buckster face on it. We tried to make to a shelter for a break but a line up utv were stuck in the trail..after waiting for 30 min we turned the machine around...we drove a big 50km on pavement to reach other trail system that was service during the night...stopped a buddy place for a cold brew. Made it back home early enough...to let the dog out..Dan remained at the club house for drinks..I think he might have a drinking problem..

Just cleared off some snow from back deck.

Not no more...lol.

Not sure if Billybob will show up...does snow removal ...got something like a hundred yard to do....leaving at 1 pm from Dan's place....
