Yes it started right up....I was thinking it would take longer cause I drained the tanks...bash plate wasn't on...so your hearing some mechanical sounds...but it's how it sounded new... The fueling is still silky smooth..it's weird jumping from a bike that's analog compared to the 1290...it's like a computer on two wheels...I'll have to be extra careful for the first outing..

I'll be fitting the new fuel pump today and see if it's still running properly ...previous owner said it was overheating just before he parked it...I'll be keeping and eye on the temp gage...I know this bike always ran hot..in slow moving traffic..the temp gage would climb fast to 3/4 in a hurry..maybe that's what alarmed him....

Fuel pump for the 950 has came in at the dealership...I'll be running up in the morning to retrieve it....imagine I'll be messing around with the bike afterwards...another hot day tomorrow...so I'll probably be not riding this weekend...

It's official boys....I'm retiring I will be passing the torch to my long time employee...took the decision this week...after another crazy week....I can and still capable of doing the job ..I'm leaving before the stress kills me...I plan again to ride the 950 into the sunset...hopefully for many years to come...will be turning 59 this year..
