  1. I had one of those has a spare...after the first fuel pump failed...sold it to cakeman after his failed....many years ago...
  2. You know what I'm trying to say...don't worry I have the proper tools to work on cars..this bike doesn't require a 12 g scan tool to worked on...some basic tools and some mechanical know how is all you need...pervious owner was telling yesterday no local shops wanted to touch the thing last summer for a simple oil change. ..lol one shop did...yamaha dealer they had it in the shop and only manage to drain a half liter of oil out of it after a couple hours ....he deceided to do it himself later ..and took and entire day to do it..lol
  3. For and 20 year old bike...the thing is still in amazing shape...just shows just how the quality of parts were back then...the newer bikes have become disposable machines now...just to costly to repair and you need to be a rocket ship scientists from Nasa to work on them now...everything can be fixed with simple tools on this thing...
  4. AmI reading this right ?...27 euros for a complete pump assembly...lol....someone is making a hell of a profit...275 here...
  5. Yes the point are sticking...I was giving it a few light taps yesterday and it was working one or two pump cycle and it would give out...I'm not going to bother trying to fix it...I've ordered a new one for 275 tax included..should be here by the middle of next week...
  6. Weather not looking good...I'll be messing around with the 950...looking at it...to see if it needs anything else than a fuel pump. .
  7. Well after giving it a good wash ...deceided to check out in more detail...one of the package of parts that he returned had sigh of mouse damage..just wanted to make sure nothing worked it's way in the air box....I'm stund now just looking at it the lack of wires and ecu shit...the under seat of the 1290 looks like the deck of a star ship battle cruise compared to this...everything is looking just fine in there..
  8. I'll be giving a good spit and shine in the morning...
  9. It's like I've grown younger by 20 years...I'll see if my body is still capable of giving it a work out...
  10. Well I'm a happy camper...it's like I've just found my missing leg ...lol...can't wait to blast a few dirt roads with it now....
  11. Just sat on it...for the first time in years...forgot just how tall it is...lol...tippy toes with my crocks and that gel pad on the seat...I'll be removing that for sure...it's not like I'm planning any long distance ride with it any time soon...
  12. This is and S model...from what I've been able to dig out...the 950 s has the same seat height has the 990 R..
  13. You can still see my mane if you zoom in on the orange stripe
  14. No not at all....just to clomsy and it's 100% street bike in my opinion...I was sweating bullets every time I took it off road...just laying it down on the right side would have ruin the exaust...nothing like the old 950 were both cans are protected...tuck up under the seat...
  15. I have yet to see proof of that ...I'm the only one that can flat foot a bike with a 36 inch seat height..lol...has of yet...
  16. This is the original seat it came with...she a little dusty that's about it...still in mint condition...after all these years...
  17. I'm not 100% sure but I think the 04 were all tall...think they lowered the seat height following years... BOBONELEG might be able to answer that.
  18. I think it's and excellent buy...these things are really hard to find now...20 years later..was presently surprised the fuel pump is still available...2 days to receive it..
  19. You couldn't ride the thing..the seat height is defeated to tall for your short arse.
  20. Would you be serious for this one time...lol..would you have bought it to ?
  21. Yes....No unfortunatly he didn't..still stuck with the dam thing...
  22. Was I fool to buy it..?.your looking at 1700 euros for and intact black 950...the bike holds some sentimental value to me but for that price I just couldn't let it go..I think it's a great bike for the price ...and I'm sure the value of these things will only go up..honestly think this is a Collectors bike in the near future..
