Yeeehharrrrrrr! Gave it a good thrashing today and no leaks at all……..I hope I haven’t jinxed it now
-
Test run on the FZ6N in the morning. Fingers crossed it holds!
-
Well the old FZ6N has been fixed (bodged) and I ran it up to working temperature in the garage and not a hint of a leak………going to run it around locally over the weekend and hopefully I’ll still have a working motorcycle

And an ethnic minority

Oi! …………..made the repair today so I’ll give it a couple of days and I’ll fill it up with distilled water and see if the fucker leaks!
-
Not like they are in Andalusia and the Valencia region. We had nearly 20 hours of extremely strong winds and pouring rain but luckily the only damage was our gazebo roof which was torn off and shredded. Needed a new one anyway. No local flooding either. We were on the edge of the storm luckily.
-
No chance of submitting anything as the fucker is still in the garage until I can get to sort it on Monday……….well, that’s the plan but anything can happen between now and Monday
-
-
That’s the plan Bob, fingers crossed

Coolant leak but nothing simple like a split hose. If I can fix it with a bit of ingenuity and make sure it works fine I’ll part exchange it for something as new as possible. If the ‘fix’ doesn’t work properly then it’ll be sold for spares or repairs……….that should satisfy @Buckster’s holier than thou attitude

Finally managed to get over to the Yamaha dealer to see if the bit need is available. Seems not and they were not interested in fixing it in any other way e.g. a bodge. So, off to buy a small bit of metal tube of some kind to fit in the hole and then apply shit loads of JB Weld to see if that holds it in place. It should do as it’s pretty potent stuff by all accounts. Once set and cured it’ll be back on with the hose and see if the bastard leaks. Fingers crossed it doesn’t so I can at least part ex it for a new(ish) bike………now don’t worry, I’m not about to start a Pete-style poll!

Having undertaken a quick visit to the UK last week to start the process of Power of Attorney for my old man I’ve been absolutely knackered since I got back. It so fucking stressful so today I thought fuck it, get the mountain bike out! Can’t get to the Yamaha dealer until later in the week to see if I can get the part to fix the old Yamaha without bodging it (it may come to that! ). ……..the UK was expensive, miserable and depressing

Returning Rider Looking for advice from the wise and good!
Skippy replied to Jimbo 64's topic in INTRODUCTIONS
A mate of mine had the Benelli 502c for a while and absolutely loved it. Comfortable, plenty of poke and it looks different but luggage is a bit limited I think. Maybe the 350 Meteor or the Hunter could be a good option. Also the Leoncino 500 goes well. -
Oi…….i resemble that remark.

I think he’s stalling, can’t see my lovely broken bike at the head of the pack yet.

I can sense the disappointment

All four of them are cunts. Smug fucking faces need gouging with a blunt instrument.

Well another day and yet another set back. Had a decision from our health insurance company and they’ve decided that the operation my wife needs is not covered by our policy, in fact they don’t cover it at all on any level of policy they offer. Cunts. Went back to see the doctor/surgeon that identified the problem and advised that this is the only operation that will fix the problem. He cannot believe our company doesn’t cover it when many other companies do. He’s going to see if he can find a way around it to save us having to pay for it because it’s going to cost €10,500! Honestly, while I appreciate his efforts I don’t think it’ll happen.

That’s true that is

As planned a trip out on the old mountain bike this morning, covered about 35klms which isn’t a massive distance but about 80% of it was on dirt or gravel tracks and it takes its toll on my old bones! Set off about 0830 and the weather was ideal as it was cool(ish) and hazy but by the time I’d got home it was 34.5 Celsius in the shade……quite enough thankyou. Found an old railway station that sits on the Linea Verde close to me, falling apart, covered in graffiti and a bit spooky to be honest……..Pete would’ve loved it. Took a couple of photos for the old twat in case he drops in here to keep an eye on the place! Standing at the station and thinking about Pete made me feel a bit sad actually but then I thought he’d probably call me a cockney wanker and it made me grin. Stopped at the pub before heading home…….because I could.

Wow that’s some ride report @Pedro, great photos too. Thanks for showing me what a working DR600 looks like

No chance, my tv provider added a ‘free’ channel just for tonight. Someone’s paying for it but it ain’t me

Currently sitting on my arse waiting for the Joshua/Dubois fight…………I wish they’d just get on with it, all this hype before does my head in. Now Liam Gallagher is poncing about the stage fer fucks sake……..and his voice irritates the fuck out of me. ………….I’m grumpy as fuck because I can’t use my bike tomorrow, it’ll have to be pedal power instead.
