I’d love to razz a bike around it.

I’m a golfing God……..well, I won the Division 2 competition today and secured a bottle of brandy and 6 flavoured vodka shots. Could be a good night. ️ Mind you, looks like I played with my shirt label sticking out all day.

Not this weekend mate
-
Had a few weeks off from golf having fucked up my back but now it’s mended I’m off for a nice walk around the golf course tomorrow. Very little chance that anything resembling golf will be played but it’s better than doing repairs and general DIY shit around the house. Plus, it means I don’t have to put up with the moody missus………..fucking mental, all of ‘em……….me? Oh I’m perfect but thanks for asking.

Absolutely mate, might have to raid the piggy bank because I’m knackered now.

A couple of hours out on the mountain bike this morning which was rather pleasant until it got very windy. Home and knackered now.

What about your wallet? There’s no way you’ll be able to lift that on your own so if you need help let me know.

Can’t beat a bit of Slade…….takes me back to my yoof!

One of my relatives on my dad’s side (Great, Great Uncle Albert…..or something like that) was killed in November 1914 and has his name on the Menin Gate along with all the other soldiers that were never found. However, he’s also listed as being buried in White House Cemetery which is a bit odd so I’m going to pay a visit as soon as I get the chance. He was a drummer in the Coldstream Guards.

Yep another fantastic road not to be missed. Even worth a detour!

To be fair Bob it’s newly surfaced and not all Spanish roads are this great but generally they’re a whole lot better than the UK.

One of my grandads was considered too old when WWII started so he stayed at home and carried on working at the Gas Board. However, after Dunkirk and leading up to D Day they were desperate for anyone fit enough to fight and he always kept himself really fit………..so, one Friday night after work he comes home later than normal and says to my Gran “well that’s it Lou, I’m off soon”………”off where”, she says……..”I’ve signed up to fight”. She wasn’t best pleased. A week or so later he went off for training and pretty soon found himself fighting across Holland, Belgium and parts of France. Like most he didn’t tell many stories according to my dad. Those that he did mention were pretty horrific by all accounts. He had two younger brothers who joined up when the war started. One went to France and was captured, spent some time in a PoW camp but escaped twice, the second time he made it to Italy and was taken in by a farmer who fed him, let him work on his farm and made sure he was out of the way when the Germans came around. Apparently he had a fling with the farmers daughter and stayed there until the war ended………made his way back to England only to find his wife had re-married as he’d been proclaimed missing, presumed dead! The second of the the two younger brothers went to the far east to fight, got captured and was made to work on the Burma Railway. He survived that and came home at the end of the war but was as skinny as a rake, could never seem to put on any weight and had a very short fuse……no wonder!

South east of Lorca on a proper twisty road that has been resurfaced very recently. No traffic and it’s grippy as fuck!

A chilly start which wasn’t helped by climbing up the hills but worth it for the views! First time I’ve needed my proper winter jacket in the nine years I’ve been here. Properly acclimatised now!

Sounds like it will be a lot of fun, far too much for that old ginger tosser .

What’s it doing in your workshop Bob? Is it very different from standard?

You’re lucky you didn’t get snow mate, they’ve got it in Moratalla.
-
He’s definitely had gender realignment, if you look really close you can see the top of his new minge. To be honest he should have had them make a smaller one because that glimpse of gash looks like it’s going to be as wide as a size ten welly top.
-
Took a spin out as the weather was spot on, a bit chilly to start with but beautiful blue skies and most importantly it was dry! Stopped at Lorca Castle to take in the view.
-
Out either Saturday or Sunday, not decided yet. No specific plans either but it’s the Three Kings celebrations tomorrow so the roads may have more than the normal number of maniacs……..might wait until Sunday

Only if I win the lottery mate! The old FZ6N is going to have to see me through next year at least…………anyway, as Ogri says, “it’s not what you ride, it’s how you ride it laddie”.

Good point Pedro, I’ve had a word with myself and given myself a good slap for even considering it in the first place.

I’ve done the Dragon Rally a couple of times (2012 and 2013) and that’s enough for me. I like camping but fuck getting cold and wet nowadays. Some of my mates still go every year which seems pointless to me. There’s a rally north of Madrid in mid January (Los Pinguinos) which is supposed to be good, might give that a go one year.
