  1. Stupid boy of course not! Had our car breakdown before the weekend and it’s going to be a hefty bill so it was just a financial decision really. It’s a shame but I can always go next year……..mind you it doesn’t help when your mates repeatedly send you photos and videos of what a great time they’re having
  2. Had to cancel my planned trip to watch the Classic Trials event on the Costa Blanca so decided to play golf tomorrow instead. Hardly a substitute but better than any DIY/gardening/house admin shite.
  3. To be fair I haven’t much to compare it to track wise as I’ve only done it on GSXR600’s before and even then only a couple of times. Mind you, physically the GSXR was easier
  4. Take one heavy bike with enormous amounts of power and add one very hot summer day in July. Surround you and the bike with a hoard of ‘track-day heroes’ all on appropriately lighter bikes with absolutely no awareness of their own mortality. I sat out the last session as I had to ride it home afterwards with my missus on the back and I was knackered. Yep, it was hard enough.
  5. Can’t argue about a Hayabusa!……..’kin hard work around Donnington Park though.
  6. There are quite a few that I’ve owned that I thought were drop dead gorgeous but………..there’s something vicious about a TL1000S that just gives me a fatty softy.
  7. Ended up just watching the Sky football report thing
  8. Enough of this Covid/flu/coughing/syphilis thread………..you’re all making me feel like shit. Our car broke down yesterday while the missus was driving it so the breakdown had to be called. Honestly, you’d think the world had ended ffs! To escape the doom and gloom I’ve been prepping the bike for my trip to the Costa Blanca Classic Trial event next weekend………best I go back in the house now and watch the football
  9. Well I guess you learn something every day!
  10. Mostly small capacity, cheap and poor quality that were no match or comparison to the mainstream Japanese bikes but this is not the case now. The main Chinese outfits seem to be building better quality bikes that are intended to compete with the more expensive Japanese equivalents such as the CB500X…………just saying.
  11. How’s that possible if they are an official KTM dealer? I would have thought they couldn’t pick and choose what they sold?
  12. Early days yet but don’t be so sure they won’t make it.
  13. I’ve no idea where that article came from but I can tell you this; several of my mates in the UK have had or still have the 790 and they absolutely batter them all over the place on road and across tough terrain and they’ve not had any major problems with them. I also know a KTM dealer in the UK and he’s also not had any major problems with bikes he’s sold. I’d tend to believe feedback from real people I know who actually use the bike as intended. The bottom line is that CFMoto are new to the market compared to the established Japanese and European brands and so they are regularly disregarded out of hand. The same happened when the Japanese started to infiltrate the bike scene in the 1960’s and look where they are now.
  14. Here we go ………why the scepticism? They already build KTM engines for their 790 and no one seems to complain about those! You need to take those blinkers off and at least wait until it’s actually being sold and tested before casting doubts over its reliability. Depending on price I’d be very tempted.
  15. Always good to get back on two wheels after a long break and here’s hoping all your troubles are behind you. Whereabouts are you based as Castalla isn’t a million miles from me (based down near Mazarron, Murcia)?
  16. Yep I’ve heard about the use of cannabis oil, we’re lucky I guess as she’s doing okay without any medication but obviously if things get worse we’ll have to go down the medication route.
  17. She’s a hefty bugger that’s for sure but we absolutely do our best not to over feed her and our other dog is as fit a flea.
  18. This is her right now, absolutely fine and you’d never know there had been anything wrong. She’s just told off a couple of ladies that were out for their morning walk.
  19. Doesn’t bear thinking about
  20. The vets told us to just make sure she can’t harm herself while she’s fitting and to remain calm ourselves which I am able to do but my wife finds it difficult. She gets a bit anxious and that’s not helpful. Because the fits are pretty much under control most of the time they didn’t want to put her on medication (the dog, not my wife ).
  21. Well an early start for us today at about 3.30am…………our Labrador suffers from seizures and although it’s been just over two years since she’s had a full-on seizure (mostly she just gets a bit wobbly for 20 mins or so) she had one today. Poor thing looses all control for about five mins and the noise is horrendous. She’s recovered now and is flat out snoring. Me and the missus are wide awake drinking coffee. It’s going to be a long, long day!
