No mate, I avoided the Eleven Plus by going straight to borstal from nursery school. Seriously though, I didn’t suffer the Eleven Plus.

Plenty of practice where I grew up. Most of my school contemporaries ended up doing a bit of time for a variety of minor misdemeanours and some managed to hit the big time. Twats all of them.

I’ve been busy being a cockney wanker. However, you’re correct about the Tracer. Lovely bike and a blast on the roads but man-o-man do I miss the ability to head off into the great unknown. Can’t bring myself to sell the Tracer and dirt bike options are severely limited by my available budget. I’m not going down the route of buying a shit heap with the aspiration of making a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. Currently looking at a cheap-ish e-mountain bike………….who knows.

I like to keep it in reserve, use it only when all else fails. It’s one of those words that is best used just as there is a lull in the noise level……….maximum effect, minimum effort.

Today……….I agreed the sale of my DR600S. Good fucking riddance, it’s broken me emotionally and cost me a pretty packet to ride about 150 klms in a year. Needless to say I’ve lost plenty of money on this piece of shit. Never again will I buy a ‘classic’ bike with ‘character’…………. Mind you, there is a tidy looking Dominator for sale locally.
