Fired the beast up this morning having had my original Tracer plans scuppered by a rear flat tyre with a nail in it. All kitted up and nowhere to go. Going to get new tyres on tomorrow so it was out with the beast. It absolutely hates any part throttle and is lumpy and unpleasant to ride but keep the throttle action positive and it transforms the bike. Took it for a spin around some local roads and also along some gravel strewn tracks………oh my days, it’s addictive and I know it’s going to be a love-hate relationship. My neighbours all ran for cover when it fired up…….. but our Labrador couldn’t give flying fuck.

It seems @XTreme is well know in these parts. Speaking to a bloke called Bryn Bunston on the Tracer 700 UK forum it turns out he’s know Pete for a few years when he first came out as the only gay in the village.

Thanks for the invite for Christmas dinner Pete, we’ll be over about midday once I’ve done a bit of house breaking……..the neighbours have just bought a new TV so it’s only fair. I robbed the off licence last night so I’ve got plenty of booze to bring………

Just been a bit busy mate, trip to the UK etc etc etc…….came back with a stinking cold and just about feel reasonably okay now hence taking the bike out today. The Tracer is a very, very nice bit of kit. Enough power, light, handles well and comfy…….could do with a nicer sounding exhaust but hey that’s probably true of many modern bikes. The DR600S is also back on the road and running just lovely but man-o-man it’s just waiting to hurt me………

A lovely spin along the coast towards Villaricos for a mid morning breakfast. No traffic, stunning scenery and smooooooth tarmac………..not a snowplough in sight Loads of dirt tracks to explore down to the water’s edge so next time it’ll be a DR-Adventure…….yep, the beast is running

This is one of our dogs, it’s Lou the Labrador. She has two operating modes, the first is Play Mode and the second is Sleep Mode. Shes very professional at both.
