Bumped into him and his missus waiting for a flight from Frankfurt many years ago. Came across as a decent bloke to be fair and had some great stories about his rivalry with Barry Sheene.

It’s the ride mate, the destination is just for lunch………….probably head south to Huercal Overa on the way back and then east to Mazarron. It’s just a training run. Practice for next time when I come over to you.

It’s about 100 klms away and you can do it in an hour if you use the motorway but that’s not the plan for Sunday. We’ll cut across country via Lorca, La Paroquia and Velez Rubio. Probably the best part of two hours ride.

Ta. It was a bit misty today but I ain’t complaining after the heatwave summer we’ve had this year. Out on Sunday too across to Velez Blanco.

At last!!!!!!!!!! Out for a short spin along the coast between Mazarron and Aguilas. Great roads, twisty as you like, hardly any traffic but care needed in the blind bends to avoid the odd rock fall.

It’s the bloody thing that stops me seeing the Mediterranean Sea from my solarium Bob! I think it’s called the Sierra de Moreras……..just a ribbon of hills that stops the sea from rushing inland.
