  1. I used to go and watch Millwall play during the 1980’s as I had a couple of mates from that neck of the woods. Absolute nightmare
  2. I don’t need more power off road and the Himalayan will do almost everything I need but………….I’d prefer a 600 on road and there’s the dilemma because ideally I’d have another XR650L but they were never imported into Spain and so I’ve no chance of getting one over here. That leaves a much smaller choice but if I can squeeze a bit of cash out of our house sale then I’d love another KTM690 Enduro R. With a different power modes it was manageable on the dirt with my meagre skills and plenty quick enough on road. The only thing I’d change is the truly awful seat………….
  3. That’ll be three of us then. I fucking hate rain. It’s miserable stuff.
  4. It’s only a bit of liquid sunshine, get yer waterproofs on and take an extra strong man-up pill…………..and if it’s not too cold once you’re out perhaps you can let me know in case I fancy a spin out?
  5. It’s the Queens English, every foreigner should understand it. I mean, you do Pete.
  6. People that won’t give a straight answer. That’s fucking me off at the moment. For example, I asked if someone had WiFi at a property we are going to stay at for a few days and the reply was “I’ve drained the pool”
  7. I’d be up for a couple of days out and about but already got something booked for end May/start of June……….it’s only gender realignment surgery but I don’t want to miss it
  8. Looking out towards Lorca from Campo Lopez. The Himalayan takes me to some very nice places………..looking forward to the 650 version in 2024
  9. Easy trails only on that but there’s plenty of that stuff around here and frankly my days of attempting difficult terrain are well and truly over. I used to ride a XR650L around the Peak District and the thought of doing it now fills me with horror.
  10. Definitely and that’s a no-no in my book. I’d go for a proper front but keep the TCK’s or whatever they are.
  11. I like the look of this lightly modified Benelli Leocino 500; tail tidy, headlamp grill, adventure tyres and a scrambler style front mudguard. Job done 🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍
  12. For me it all depends on how much money I’ve got at the time of needing something but generally it goes like this as far as possible; Alpinestars for leathers and textiles Suomy and Uvex helmets Sidi boots for the road and either Alpinestars or Forma for off road. Klim gloves for the dirt and Spada for the road. ……………and any old hideous, cheap, gawdy coloured shite MX/Enduro/Trials clothing for the dirt. I have no shame.
  13. It contains the full factory approved toolkit; a hammer, screwdriver and tube of superglue. I doubled its value by adding a packet of cable ties from the chino bazaar.
  14. Don’t be too hasty @XTreme, never look a gift horse in the mouth
  15. No mate, that would be far too effeminate
  16. As a wife definitely but as a shag probably not. Mind you, her best mate wasn’t bad either…….now you’ve given me a dilemma @XTreme
  17. Unbelievable isn’t it that they thought it was okay to do this.
  18. Yep, the house has been up for sale for a time but it looks like we’ve had some good news so who knows, I might move up next to you?
  19. Yes mate and it makes me embarrassed to be British. However, what I would say is that not all Brits are like this and there are some very nice Brits around, many of which do charity work for locals. It’s just a shame that it’s easy to be tarred with the same brush. We moved out here six years ago and have made many good friends from when we lived in a mainly British urbanisation but since then we’ve learned the ropes and feel more confident in dealing with bureaucracy and systems in place to do many things. It helps that we understand a reasonable amount of Spanish. It takes time and for some people the comfort of familiarity is more important than anything else. I don’t look down my nose at people who choose this familiarity no more than I look up to those that are confident enough to live in a small Spanish village. I take people as I find them and as long as they are polite, decent people then I don’t care what nationality they are; I always give people the benefit of the doubt until they shit on me and then it’s gloves off and no second chances. A cunt is cunt in any language.
  20. That’s our area but luckily not my carer
  21. Not major but a well known independent garage that is used by lots of people. Personally, I wasn’t keen on the place before this incident and a Spanish mechanic I know said the dealer was well known for doing this sort of thing.
  22. A bloke took his custom bike into my mate's place for him to have a look at it as he is a very experienced bike mechanic and done a bit of racing. The bloke said he thought it wasn’t handling properly. My mate had a browse over the bike and immediately took the keys off the bloke and said he was going nowhere on it as it was. The bloke had recently had a new front tyre fitted by a local bike garage. The fucking twats had fitted a rear tyre on the front and to really top it off, fitted it the wrong way around. Unbelievable
