  1. Exactly Pete………..riding the Himalayan is fine now but that CBR is still a bit much
  2. Fuck that, it’s waaaaay too hot for me to be riding anywhere let alone off road. Mind you, once it drops to 30 Celsius I’m up for it.
  3. Don’t know about that mate as it’s a couple of years since I’ve been up there but I wouldn’t be surprised. Not only that but they’ve closed some parts of the Sierra Espuna park as it’s a fire risk.
  4. I plan to laugh my cock off when my cunt of a neighbour takes his newly purchased scooter out. Just because he’s on two wheels now doesn’t make him less of a cunt.
  5. Yeah it ain’t kind on tender knackers
  6. Just depends on my mood on the day. Some days I’m happy to bimble along at a sensible pace, this is mostly on the Himalayan as it lends itself to that kind of approach. Mind you, it can also be quick enough to keep up with more powerful bikes on tight, bumpy roads. If I’m on the CBR I find it impossible to not ride like a twat.
  7. Money is always the issue for me where bikes are concerned. The most I’ve had in the garage at any one time was four; a Kawasaki Versys 1000, Suzuki GSX1400, Honda XR650L and a Scorpa 250 trials bike. The big GSX1400 went because the Versys did everything it could do and plenty more, the trials bike went next because I was going to seriously hurt myself and then the XR650L because we were moving to Spain and it was about as far from standard as you could imagine and I did t have the original bits to get it onto Spanish plates. I imported the Versys onto Spanish plates………and then fucking sold it on a whim. Now I’ve retired and money is definitely tight I’ve had to settle for the Himalayan and a 22 year old CBR600. The point is I’m no less happy with two ‘inferior’ bikes. …………but if I had to have just one bike……
  8. What you didn’t say was what her reaction was? Perhaps she thought oh fuck no?
  9. Early morning adventure en route for a coffee with the rest of the old farts.
  10. Austria if my memory serves me correctly.
  11. Just seen that they changed the village name to ‘Fugging’ last November. Boring twats.
  12. Just came up as a memory on Facebook so I thought I’d share it here. Too good an opportunity to miss……….
  13. My mate had one of those monstrosities but rode it like a motorcross bike because that’s all he knows. Fugly. On the other hand, that mock up of a new Suzuki Djebel is luverly.
  14. It’s nice but I prefer the proportions of this.
  15. Roasting, but there was a cold drink and pool at the end of it so no complaints here
  16. An impromptu spin over to Velez Rubio on Saturday for a bbq and get together with like-minded petrol heads. Had to stop en route for a slice of pizza though Sorry Pete, didn’t have time to get up your way. Next time hopefully

It was just over 38 here on Sunday which was bad enough but when the dogs went out for a final run around the garden at 2315 it was still 34!……….aircon went on in the bedroom all night mate.

It’s way to hot to be riding at all to be honest and I have all good intentions of not going out but then I give in and go anyway. When I get home I’m sweating like a pig and swear I’ll never do it again. That is, until the next time.
