  1. I don’t know Marcel, looks like you’re hiding behind things and being pervy filming “your girl friends” dancing without they knowing about it.
  2. Physically take the registration paper, not the bike. Anyway, that’s the price I pay to live in a place where people don’t fry candy bars.
  3. How would we load it if you have it?
  4. You go to a registry office, or a notary, deliver the old title and a change of property form, and are left with a disused title and a temporary paper. Eventually, within a week or so the new title arrives in the mail.
  5. That’s very nice.
  6. You always need a vehicle’s current registration. While that is being changed the previous document isn’t valid.
  7. I need the title in my name, when you buy a vehicle here you change owner and it takes a week or two before the new title arrives. During that time you have a temporary document, but that is only valid inside Portugal. I could go with someone else’s bike as long as I had the title in my hands, but when you buy it the previous owner wants the registration changed immediately, obviously.
  8. Plus, since the gearbox is coming out, the bearings will be replaced and things will be inspected for wear and changed accordingly, and the timing chains will also be inspected and if over half of slack tolerance they’ll be changed too. Bike should be good for a while after all that, at 122.000 now.
  9. So, I have gotten a rental GS to take to Italy next week. I will be leaving a few days later and making more of a dash to Milan. Probably now not doing any of the mountain passes I wanted to do on the way there since I am not too keen on putting a rental bike offroad, doing that not on my own bike doesn’t have the same appeal. Am very miffed with it, and am considering buying a second bike in the coming months or year. Would have gotten one now in a hurry, but there’s no way I would have the paperwork done in time for the trip.
  10. Whoever did it, should take lessons from @Sir Fallsalot. That sky looks shit!
  11. Bob's bike looks like it has snail eyes with the two mirrors pointing up. Buckster's bike has got two backrests AND a black top box, just saying. Marcel's bike can't be faulted, very cool, except for those ugly luggage bars in the back. Moon's Tiger is the prettiest color Tiger there is, and there's something cool about a big trailie being used as a breakfast table, complete with french croissant. Justapor's bike has it's own backpack, plus as far as gay tires go, those look very nice. Renegade´s Gladius, I don't know if they already came up with an excuse for it. Sir Fallsalot XTrainer, the bike's name sounds like something you buy at a sport shop to go running, and also I'm pretty sure he's exiting the house just before sunset on purpose for a BOTM shot. Six's 765, it's still got the blue plastic wrapping, and also looks smaller than his nephew's 390. I haven't got a picture for this month
  12. Turns out my bike's gearbox is coming apart, at least to replace bearings. It's me fucked as I really would rather not ride anything else than my bike. Really disappointed with this. On the other hand, once it's back together it might be something to never touch again. Now to figure out what to do.
  13. Here we go, our submissions for Bike Of The Month, August 2024. You have one vote, and maybe you can also switch votes until the 31st August at 21:00, by which time the poll closes. @boboneleg's Yamaha WR250X: @Buckster's Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide: @Marcel le Moose Fondler's KTM 950 Adventure: @MooN's Triumph Tiger 800XC: @JustaPor's Honda CB500F: @Renegade's Suzuki SVF650 Gladius: @Sir Fallsalot's Beta XTrainer 300: @Six30's Triumph Street Triple 765:
  14. Why is it photoshopped?
  15. If I do end up borrowing one, it most likely will not be a Honda. Probably Sofia's Speed Triple or some sort of BMW from another friend. But I really want to take my bike.
  16. On other news, my bike's clutch bearing plate is being installed this afternoon. I'll find out this evening if I'm taking my bike next week or if the gearbox needs bearings rebuilt and I need a borrowed bike.
  17. That bike makes that truck look like a normal sized car.
  18. It is complete shit when you buy a new bike and don't have a nice dealership within acceptable distance to home. Better to just bite the bullet and forget about warranties and use a trusty mechanic.
