  1. How was I supposed to know where you live, dude? Could have used some hospitality too, really, if only for a cold glass of water as it was warm and boggy outside.
  2. Sofia's helmet cam, it's on video too, approaching Snowdonia. It's on video too, and I've just seen a little of it, will have to spend a few hours editing it into the gems, me complaining about my difficulties dealing with left hand drive traffic is hilarious but unfortunately it's all in portuguese.
  3. No, they’re rude and twats. Did chat with a nice lady at a local shop buying fruit and water and a dragon sticker, and a gentleman on a VStrom that was intrigued by my license plate, but apart from that they weren’t very nice. That’s becoming a theme, older people are very nice, young and up to their forties are idiots, not just in Wales though. There will be a ride report. Currently in the IOM having a drink while the rain passes, will ride around tomorrow.

    Dragon Rally

Went there, rode through, sunny and warm!
  5. Wales, two days ago: loved it, gorgeous countryside and roads.
  6. Name a town, I'm not sure. We'll go to Liverpool and ride through to catch a ferry to the Isle of Man, then catch it back and spend a few days riding around going south again visiting a few of Sofia's friends. If the weather remains sunny we might go further north to Scotland, but if it turns to rain at the time we won't.
  7. Boating to the UK now, just had a nice prosciutto and cheese sandwich and will enjoy the view for a while. If I get drunk tonight the plan is to sing songs in a piratey way.
  8. She absolutely wouldn’t be, and I wouldn’t put that bike through that. We left the Triumph parked on the town and I gave her a lift onthe GS. Good thingI did, too, we went to see a lookoutpoint that was supposed to have 1 or 2km of smooth dirt road to get there but I took what looked to be a more interesting path on google maps and ended up climbing a good 15km on quite steep and sometimes loose trails. It was quite nice with great scenery though.
  9. They’re all UK, we faced then today going the other way, all a little older guys.
  10. I’ll be in the UK when Portugal faces Wales!
  11. Hey, @Slowlycatchymonkey, can you carry food onto ferries to and from the Uk for consumption on board?
  12. Ferry is only tomorrow, today we ride around the Picos
  13. I know nothing about rugby, but I do know that they are serious about it, they scream the national anthem at the beginning too with full lyrics, and seem to never give up. They seem to get the respect of the teams that beat them, but as you can imagine rugby isn't significant as a national sport here.
  14. Well, it is a lovely topbox
  15. That’s no way to talk about a lady, Marcel
  16. Left to inner Portugal for tonight, then two nights in Spain near Santander, then the ferry
  17. This is a photo op! As I was riding past the train chugging along the other side I stopped just for you:
  18. The Douro train, with a Diesel locomotive as it goes through places where it’s not practical to have electricity. The historic steam one this replaced still works for tourists too.
