  1. This is a photo op! As I was riding past the train chugging along the other side I stopped just for you:
  2. The Douro train, with a Diesel locomotive as it goes through places where it’s not practical to have electricity. The historic steam one this replaced still works for tourists too.
  3. Douro wine country, some fine riding here.
  4. On my way, first stop after one hour for the morning espresso

    Unplanned

I really like that Guzzi California, perfect mix of cruiser and standard for me.
  6. Hold my beer will only het there on friday, though…
  7. It’s the talc that made him curious
  8. He preferred holding on to you drunk, over sharing a taxi with two girls?
  9. You were putting on a comfier seat on the previous bike, the CRF will feel like sitting on a knife.
  10. Turns out I love hob nobbing, who new. I thought I loved before too, when I thought it was naughty.

    My argan tree

I’ll gladly send you a couple of seeds, but the UK might be a step too far for these draught loving, cold hating trees. It’s a promise, though, you shall have your seeds to see how they cope.
  12. Hob knobbing sounds naughty
  13. Look at one up close. They’re really good looking. All those little things are fixable, except the wheel size.
  14. New bikes can’t look as good as classics, but they did manage a good compromise with that 900.
  15. What’s the weight difference between both bikes @boboneleg? The new engine will like a missile on the trails compared to that, don’t you think?
  16. Why not go for a ride on a Kawasaki retro, though? They look very nice in person, and are very comfy to sit on. The paint on the 900 is amazing, only maybe Harley does something so nice.

That’s very cool! I watched all three of these trees grow. The Left one is an olive tree, just sprung out by itself maybe 3 years ago, the middle one is an indian tree, forgot the name, around 6 years old also sprung out by itself since the neighbour has a few, the right one is an almond tree I planted with Maria, it was a meter high twig when we planted maybe 5 years ago. trees are very cool I have this vision of people in Portugal in a few centuries wondering how this very non invasive trees ( Argan ) very hard to germinate, ended up all over the country.
  18. Forget it @XTreme, it’ll never have a 19 inch on the front. And the bike’s character will be completely different being a 2 cylinder. I don’t know what it is, I have very little experience and have ridden maybe 10 bikes at most, but I do also find smaller wheels kind of weird in corners.
  19. They also married them, both your brother and @XTreme A quick shag is nothing next to “forever and ever” marriage
  20. Shit age to die, poor fellow.

    My argan tree

The other three little trees I have at home have found a home in a friend’s countryside farmhouse turned hotel in the high Douro. It’s a great destination for a full day of riding following the Douro valley and very scenic, she’s into trees and gardening, so will be cool to visit them when they’re grown, the GS will be about 2500000 km by then, though, we’ll see.

Second little tree is in the ground. It’s on a little bit of public land, a triangle next to my neighbours’ house. If it grows I’ll be able to see it from my house in about 200 or 300 years, cool stuff, can’t wait. It’ll be a tough little tree if it manages to grow there, the dirt’s colour there is very Moroccan like, but it’s very rocky very tough ground, look what it did to my pick. It’s windswept and arid but it properly rains and gets to freezing temperatures in the winter, I hope she makes it.
  23. If they’re that drunk, do you think they’ll turn away?
  24. You now prefer a burgundy cruiser on a fishing dock instead of a trail bike on a dusty dirt road by a high view over proper distance. Or you just voted out because it’s a BMW, and
  25. Great tshirt, are you afraid there might be an avalanche?
