  1. Busy and worried about the business and life, had some stress with one of her puppies and sorting through old family problems, also working a lot so a little tired too. But when you´re with me, you can't help but feel great and overflowed with immense joy!
  2. Rode home today, from my parent's place near Porto to Ribatejo. This was around 2,5 hours on the motorway, and then maybe an hour on country roads and over hills, with a stop on my favourite cafe for lunch on top of Serra de Montejunto and just half an hour away from home. I was a little too optimistic watching the rain radar, by this point I thought I was just escaping the rain clouds, light was just ahead. Turns out I was wrong, and went through a few showers. A few harder ones, but all of them short so didn't get too wet. I didn't feel like stopping so stayed with jeans the whole time, it was manageable as it wasn't cold. Stopped by a cool old school looking house to check some stuff on my email while talking to a client: Up in the Serra, it was quite wet from the very low clouds. The sun was trying hard to break through, but couldn't. After avoiding some lost city folks who were scared of the fog and stopped a grey electric SUV with no warning lights in the middle of the road to check their phones, I managed to get to my lunch location. It was very moody out there today. Ate inside, their heat lamps felt very good after the motorway. Just a nice value simple burger, nothing fancy. Almost home, local farm's horses were munching on the winter wild growth. Uneventful ride, felt nice to be back on my bike.
  3. During winter, now that you´ve got the freedom, is there chance to use a warmer week to ride south in search of a road trip in friendlier weather, or is it completely snowed in the whole time?
  4. Rode home to my place today. Felt great being on my bike. Tomorrow I’ll take a short bimble going nowhere special, and then dinner with Sofia.
  5. This isn't the strongest month ever for BOTM submissions. We have only a few, but good ones. Cast your vote, and be sure you can change it before the 30th at 21:00. At that time the poll will close automatically, I chose it to catch @Buckster before his bedtime so he can change the forum picture, but if you´re trolling someone with a possible win be sure to change your vote before your own bedtime. Below I present his month's entries: @Buckster's Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide, out on the Scotish moors. (You need a dictionary to know Harley models): @boboneleg's Yamaha WR250X , by the public loos in a lane somewhere. (This also, is an impossible model name to learn, R, W, S, nobody knows!) @Marcel le Moose Fondler's KTM950S, possibly on a faked picture while still in the garage: @Saul's Honda CBF600 by the medieval bridge below Launceston Castle, submission with location and proper bike nomenclature on his profile. Be like Saul!: @Pedro's BMW R1200GS Adventure, on a random street coming home from being repaired, first ride in forever, lame!: @Six30's Triumph 765RS. His bike is in his profile, it is dildo blue with a dildo exhaust and he still took it out, in Kent, in the cold, on a 5 mile ride just for a chance at BOTM on a slow month, good for him! Pick your battles!:

    BMW f450

I like that, it’s a 1300GS crossed with and enduro bike powered by a chinese engine. Looks nice, doubt I would buy one.
  7. That’s a new bike? How cool does that look? The Chinese are now taking notes and will go for both offroaders and hipsters! And me, I love how that looks!
  8. It's a sad thing, that he's gone.
  9. It’s almost snow season too
  10. You had three more days of work until you’re done and you didn’t feel like enjoying them?
  11. Looks very nice, is it a twin?
  12. Indeed I wasn't going to include it, @Marcel le Moose Fondler, FFS! But nobody likes a rat, @Six30
  13. Went to visit a client on the GS today. I really missed my bike, and it's a lot better than the 1250, too.
  14. Similar has happened to most people in business, but some relationships go beyond that. And, I can be trusted with that credit, same way as I trust he does all he thinks he needs to do to the bike to make it nice. Goes both ways.
  15. I would have no issue with paying before riding away with the bike. It’s to ease his administration work, it’s all done in trust.
  16. I’m not a stranger. Plus no stranger would work that deep on my bike.
  17. Must be a grim message you send people, @Six30, if being a long time biker people don’t trust you to settle a mechanic’s bill after you ride off.
  18. If you pay when you god dam like, they won’t treat you this way. But my mechanic has been a friend for many years, he prepared my bike like he would have one of his own, as he knows me and what it means to me, so he can do the work that’s needed and then invoice the stuff after it’s finished. Then he trusts me to pay it. I don’t see that as something difficult to understand between friends.
  19. Exactly. why didn’t they go copying anything out of your Harley, I wonder!
