Right after lunch will be taking the GS and spending the afternoon at my mechanic's to get a service done. That's when everyone will get their urgent issues and decide to pester me.

I used to do that everyday going to school, barefoot, and it was snowing and uphill both ways.

My dad's company has had 2 Renault cars since forever, before Megane and Clio with a 1.5 diesel and now two Kadjars with also a small diesel, they're replaced at around 300.000km and never had a problem. If used properly, modern french small diesels are reliable engines. A diesel like that shouldn't be bought as an urban run around doing very short trips to the grocery and back.

I meant the Megane and Clio, Sport, they're assembled in a different factory and very much different cars as quality goes even though they look the same.

I don't know what that is about. On one side it's cool that they're racing non race bikes, on the other it's just sad that they keep the sidebars and huge fairings. To make that series worse they should invite BMW to race the K1600 or invite big trail bikes to make it totally ridiculous. The nice thing is that being on the US, those guys probably make more money than the bottom half of the MotoGP grid.

I would have a Renault Sport, they're built better. Not really my kind of cars but they really are built nice.

I once drove a Megane Scenic with 5 adults inside from Galicia to home. Worse car I ever drove, on the motorway it would rock from side to side as well as front to back at a steady 120kmh, felt like a small fishing boat on high seas.

I would trust it too, but electronics on newer cars are easier. Back in E46 time if something goes wrong you’re mostly guessing and try and error fixing it.

When I was about to order my bike a dealership tried to sell me a fully loaded used bike. It had everything possible except the keyless ignition, the previous owner bought it with a reality tv winner’s purse, and then traded it in for one with the keyless thing. Outraged after his mate showed up with no key in his ignition!!! It was still 7000€ more than what I paid for mine, and ruined by a tv celebrity having sat on it

The GS with the non key to run the bike but key to work the luggage. It’s like they’re just making it complicated for the sake of it.

I would be scared to have it on a motorcycle, just dropping it on a ride and only realising at next start up.

That’s ironic because an E46 with its key detection immobilizer is a little bit the worse of both worlds.

Well, too late now!

In a car I like no key, proper no key with the door unlocking from proximity. Didn’t think I would but after having that I find myself trying to open the locked door and keeping the fob in my pocket while starting the car. No such issues in proper older cars where the key actually opens the door and is not a remote, I like either that or full keyless
