May 2018, in Azambuja a town in bull country in Portugal. Town street is covered in hard packed sand to allow for bulls to not slide on cobblestone streets, windows and doors are protected with wood frames to prevent horns from hitting them. Some people like the bull runs, some people hate them, some complain about animal abuse, I mostly think braaap

They’re monochrome pieces, so a good guy will sand them all down, do the stripes and artwork, and apply proper gloss on top, if they do the tank’s gloss as well you’ll have color tone and finish matching tank and mudguard, and way better than stock overall finish. It’s probably going to cost as much more in proportion to the better it looks than what you get by replacing a sticker. I’d like a classic looking bike or a Harley for this alone, a GS doesn’t quite suit the nice paintwork that goes well with bikes like these.

Yes. It’s been rebuilt after a little too much beach use, but I hardly ever ride it now. I think of selling it sometimes, but it’s a pretty bike that costs me next to nothing and is not losing value.

Center of the front mudguard, like a bonnet symbol on cars, and mainly on the side black battery covers.

Indeed, but I took the din socket out for USB, much more convenient for the phone which I frequently use. And also Nippy Normans were idiots about the shipping last time I ordered stuff from them.

Hand drawn pinstripes by one of the many hotrod guys you have there. It’s what will make yours distinct to others, and british.

Thing is, I want something to carry around on the bike without worrying about it, and have it available for when I get a puncture somewhere remote. I like that, but won’t order stuff from the US, it’s a faff to get them out of customs sometimes. Will look into it.

Unstick those stickers and have someone pinstripe it. It’ll look proper on that bike.

My Transalp, 2006 and 2007 Cold day near home, Arouca hills Galician coast south of Vigo Serra da Estrela: Few adventures with that bike, including being stranded on a mountain by myself and leaving the bike overnight, breaking a waterpump casing also alone on the hills and being towed home, and meeting a wild wolf near Serra da Estrela. I liked that bike a lot.

back north when I used to race around a closed loop near the beach, half sandy fast stuff, other half with a couple of jumps and corners made by the army’s engineers for practice with earth moving machines This was 2007

I want a tiny tire pump to carry on the bike, to use only for flats instead of frequent use. It has to have clamps to be powered straight from the battery, and small trumps pretty and well finished. Any recommendations on something you can rely on?

Gemelli a la putanesca, but with capers, so maybe pizzaiolo instead Capers preserved just in sea salt, not in brine. Properly nice.
