  1. Got home at 03:00 last night, after going to dinner with my brother and a friend. This morning I was on the phone for an hour at 08:30, and now feeling a little tired. It seems the weather has passed and tomorrow we should see no more rain for a few days. On sunday morning I will ride south, don't know where I'll end up, if at home or somewhere, I hope it's somewhere else as I do miss being on the bike for a couple of days of moving around.
  2. What do you think of the R65 as a classic to be used today?
  3. In context, Socialist in Portugal doesn't mean the same as in the UK or US.
  4. It was really cold this morning, so cold that when walking down the street I saw a socialist with his hands in his own pockets!
  5. I knew it. Bloke next door moved to Australia, he's got a visa on account of his wife being invited to go work for a big firm there, he's traded his Elise with a big V8 Ute to go all Australian. I knew it was a fake, poor dude is probably living in his basement instead
  6. Can't see how you could remain customer with a bank that does that. I am sorry though, makes use feel fragile to think our money isn't safe.
  7. That sucks big time! I have been the victim of fraud a couple of times, both times I found out because my bank called me within minutes telling me they solved the issue, refunded the expense and called me to say not to worry. This might not be of much help to you, but even so it serves to say it's not always bad.

    Pedro's food

Costa, exercising his puppy eyes and bringing cuteness to the food thread:
  9. Unless it's a Harley or a classic, I don't plan on owning a bike that can be flat footed.
  10. I did own a Vincent for a few days once, but it was never in my name so doesn't count.
  11. Indeed, Bob, the old guys keep finding the same list over and over and post it forgetting the reason they first made it is to reply to each other in previous threads just like this one. Having said that, I don't need a list : Honda Transalp XL650V Honda XR400R BMW R1150GS BMW R1200GSA
  12. Ignore their lunch recommendation. No "home-made food" place will have good vegetarian lasagna and good fish and good duck rice, never been there but I'll guide you around if you ever come through these parts!

    My argan tree

I planted tens of mint plants on my garden. it’s open war against weeds.
  14. Thanks! I watched a 44teeth video of it and pretty much recognised the nicer parts. I have to say I think I could have done a lot better job, seems like KTM tried to take them through the ugliest town streets in the area I will have a proper look at it later! I am also very impressed at how journalists are treating Portugal’s countryside and villages as a wild west racetrack, they wouldn’t dare to ride like that in the UK.
  15. He drinks strawberry what?
  16. It's a good thing that all this rain has filled most reservoirs to an impressive level considering they were on an all time low late in September, but this shit weather is getting me down. I don't know how you can have this shit in the UK and like it. Hopefully it'll blow over and leave me with clear skies by the end of the week, I'd really like to get on the bike on the weekend and go somewhere south with a brief stop at home to see how it's fairing with all the water. I'm missing being on the bike properly

    Warm Hands

    It's a high performance engine!
  18. My ex father in law sleeps in a sleeping bag everyday during winter, says there's no comparison in the way they put you to sleep seconds after you close your eyes.
  19. Put a chain on it then. Savages!
