In Portugal, the most traditional Christmas dinner is salted codfish, with potatoes, cabbage, boiled eggs, and onion / olive oil sauce. I didn't really care for it as a child but really appreciate it now, it goes amazingly well together although I suppose not so for most British palates. On Christmas day lunch, it varies a lot but where I'm from it's usually roasted mutton or kid with either potatoes or rice, it's quite good. This year I won't have that as on the 25th I'll be on the bike, riding. Turkey is not something that we cook the same way you do, roasted whole with stuffing, it's been imported by cultural assimilation but not really ours nor very common.

Cataplana because it's a stew cooked in one of these Using some leftover squid stew, plus a tomato and anchovy base sauce, for a pretty nice pasta Winter in Portugal, soft sheep's cheese from the Serra da Estrela, some bread and red wine, old school! And again, oven cooked codfish, this time an economical cut, very tasty using lots of olive oil and onions

@Slowlycatchymonkey, just so there are no misunderstandings, we've never met, I don´t wish any harm or anything bad towards your, I wish you all the best and hope you do enjoy Spain and your travels, and be happy with life in general. It's just I find your posts annoying, simple as that, I don´t think that's such a big deal. I do have you on ignore for a while now, but every now and then I click on a post to see what it's about and there it is, annoying ... Could be worse, though, I don´t care much for all the gay and pedophilia comments and random insults, but if I ignored all those there would be little left these days.

Your thoughts on me probably changed since "forum gold", but I wasn't going to give it a second thought after voting, it's that Pete really wanted to create some fuss with an explanation and I felt bad about letting him down. If he can't create said fuss, then he can't issue the "calm down" post, and then what does he have? A Chinese bike to get away from being raped in ruins lost in the desert, and that's not much.

I am sure they're great for what they are made for, but I can't bring myself to like the look of the MT Yamahas: Or most of the modern Kawasakis, either sporty nakeds, sports bikes, or versys. I am undecided between Bob, Ian and Michelle, Bob for being a top guy, Ian for the amazing content of film worthy stories, and Michelle for being so sweet and all the ride report pictures. I'll wait a few days and see if my vote sways anything before casting it.

I voted for @Slowlycatchymonkey, wasn´t aware I was doing it covertly, she just somehow really annoys me with most of what she posts. I am still undecided if I change my vote for @XTreme, for trolling his own forum with useless questions, droning on about some other forum, and intrigues like the above.

I did pretty good. Work has been annoying but overall it turned out a pretty great year work wise, for me. Did a couple of great rides around Portugal, didn't turn out as expected but rode 10000km in 6 months so I guess I did more than I think. Emotionally, it's been an emotional rollercoaster and it's getting tiresome as I'm a little tired of dealing with my own moods, I'm in need of a couple of days by myself alone at home. I do hope 2022 brings a little more border relaxation and a trip to Morocco.

The plan must be that the owners of the old and new bikes can ride in the same group with little effort of the new bikes to keep up
