  1. Congratulations BMW, you made a right turd of it! And no hints from other brands either, cough cough, Scarabeo 500 rear end?
  2. Not really the legal stance here either, but nobody to enforce it.
  3. Just because! Them’s the rules! No rules for bikes! where the hell are you from? That’s just how it is! Rules are for cages!
  4. I would 100% pay for that car parking for a season however? On a bike? Parking is free!

    Portugal, @MooN, make it 2 x 4 day trips
  6. Ehy are Sportsters so slammed to the ground now? They used to be so much cooler with higher leaning clearance and suspension travel! a 120hp engine on a Sportster though?
  7. I like them white like that, cool bikes!
  8. He meant it in a naughty way, not bikes …

    Pedro's food

Spaghetti al Pesto, with a few mint leaves thrown in there, and walnuts instead of pine nuts, you use what you have Fresh cherry tomato sauce, wish I had nice pecorino for this, only had generic supermarket parmigiano A nice skillet sauted steak, with parsley tomato salad and mum’s white rice Roadside pork sandwich, just the best meal in the middle of a full day’s motorcycling in Portugal Cheese and ham toast, in the best bread available in Portugal, the typical Alentejo loaf Take away, proper perfectly cooked Portuguese style grilled chicken, with optional garlic sauce, amazing homemade fries, and fresh salad, along with some nice chilled Alentejo wine, best take away meal ever! Today’s dinner, coal grilled beef chop, along with grilled cheesy onions, and tomato and herbs, it was nice!
  10. You need a parking spot for a bike too?

I am equally surprised, I assumed everyone did
  12. As far as chinese bikes go, it’s the best looking I’ve seen. They are Ducati fans, those chinese
  13. I wouldn’t tell anyone I would never want their bikes even for free, so I won’t, but there are more of those than the ones I would want.
  14. The name is making it harder, had he went with Bollocks Said Fred he would surely get less credibility.
  15. Love the Mustang, but the baby blue 3 door station wagon, that melts my heart!
  16. The wood floors could colapse and I'd be inside a building in 35º heat... boarded windows and doors!
  17. I might actually be riding past there in a few days, but the only way into the station was a half broken boarded window, and I'm not crawling into a risky building through a window. Tell you what though, it's a nice enough place and must come with a little land around it, enough for a little vineyard maybe, but it's isolated and hot in summer, proper hot.
  18. The T7 is almost the perfect bike on paper, just 20 more hp and it would be it. I should go and see about test riding one.
  19. Neither was I, but it was better than it looked and I'm washing it down with nicely chilled wine from the region I rode through today, all's cool!
  20. Oh, forgot about that, the T7 would be the perfect complement for my bike, but somehow the Harley and the Triumph just appeal to me more.
  21. To not incur in @boboneleg's rath, I´ll post a few words this today's ride. I had a proper day's riding today, left the hotel at around 9 and headed south to the Algarve, rode through country and mountain roads, mostly small roads. It was a little chilly in the morning up to about 10 or 11AM, but as soon as I approached Monsaraz it got hot, from then on temperatures ranged between 31 to 35, it felt hotter than that though and when it got to 31 it felt cool by comparison I was in a better mood today, so stopped to take a few pictures First, storks' nests on top of telephone poles, they usually fly away when you stop nearby but managed to catch a couple: Half an hour later, stopped to send emails, and had my morning expresso in Estremoz: The full face modern helmet surprised me, and warranted a picture They say the Alentejo is big, and it sort of is for Portugal size, but I'd love it to be the size of Texas, I could ride around this for days: Warning, this thread is about to get flooded with pictures of my bike next to an Oak Tree Alentejo traffic jam, this went on for a few minutes while they figured out how to balance the panels on one single strap First sight of the Alqueva lake, from the Monsaraz Castle And a stop for lunch a snack and refreshments, it was getting warm now, so I found a nice shady spot to park And the day turned amazing, center and northern Portugal got rainy weather today: There are worse places to park for a phone call And then, near Serpa, I took a little detour from the road just for @XTreme's delection, this is an abandoned train station, so abandoned they already took the tracks away a long time ago, and it´s for sale! I am sure Pete would be up these with a puppy like excitement, but I didn't really feel the urge to it And made way, further on after a few great twisties I again got off the road to go and see a menhir. After a couple kms of loose shale dirt road I got pretty disappointed at the sight of this, they're smaller than they appear to be on the picture, the fence was just a little taller than me I didn't feel like walking to the other one, drank some more water and rode on to the Algarve hills Brief dirt road excursion in search of a great view, not very photogenic What followed was 2 hours of very twisty roads over the Algarve hills, no pictures of that unless the tires showing signs of an afternoon well spent after I got home. Searching for a decent meal in Faro proved hard, the local supermarket was already closed, a lot of places went under last year because of covid, a few of them also close on mondays, and I didn't like the crowds on the ones that were open, so uber eats came to the rescue and a pizza was had. I had a proper motorcycling day today, rode at my own pace which meant sometimes cruising admiring the scenery at very slow speeds, as well as enjoying the twisties. Tomorrow, it's going to be a little work and then a short ride to the local beach.
