  1. Neither was I, but it was better than it looked and I'm washing it down with nicely chilled wine from the region I rode through today, all's cool!
  2. Oh, forgot about that, the T7 would be the perfect complement for my bike, but somehow the Harley and the Triumph just appeal to me more.
  3. To not incur in @boboneleg's rath, I´ll post a few words this today's ride. I had a proper day's riding today, left the hotel at around 9 and headed south to the Algarve, rode through country and mountain roads, mostly small roads. It was a little chilly in the morning up to about 10 or 11AM, but as soon as I approached Monsaraz it got hot, from then on temperatures ranged between 31 to 35, it felt hotter than that though and when it got to 31 it felt cool by comparison I was in a better mood today, so stopped to take a few pictures First, storks' nests on top of telephone poles, they usually fly away when you stop nearby but managed to catch a couple: Half an hour later, stopped to send emails, and had my morning expresso in Estremoz: The full face modern helmet surprised me, and warranted a picture They say the Alentejo is big, and it sort of is for Portugal size, but I'd love it to be the size of Texas, I could ride around this for days: Warning, this thread is about to get flooded with pictures of my bike next to an Oak Tree Alentejo traffic jam, this went on for a few minutes while they figured out how to balance the panels on one single strap First sight of the Alqueva lake, from the Monsaraz Castle And a stop for lunch a snack and refreshments, it was getting warm now, so I found a nice shady spot to park And the day turned amazing, center and northern Portugal got rainy weather today: There are worse places to park for a phone call And then, near Serpa, I took a little detour from the road just for @XTreme's delection, this is an abandoned train station, so abandoned they already took the tracks away a long time ago, and it´s for sale! I am sure Pete would be up these with a puppy like excitement, but I didn't really feel the urge to it And made way, further on after a few great twisties I again got off the road to go and see a menhir. After a couple kms of loose shale dirt road I got pretty disappointed at the sight of this, they're smaller than they appear to be on the picture, the fence was just a little taller than me I didn't feel like walking to the other one, drank some more water and rode on to the Algarve hills Brief dirt road excursion in search of a great view, not very photogenic What followed was 2 hours of very twisty roads over the Algarve hills, no pictures of that unless the tires showing signs of an afternoon well spent after I got home. Searching for a decent meal in Faro proved hard, the local supermarket was already closed, a lot of places went under last year because of covid, a few of them also close on mondays, and I didn't like the crowds on the ones that were open, so uber eats came to the rescue and a pizza was had. I had a proper motorcycling day today, rode at my own pace which meant sometimes cruising admiring the scenery at very slow speeds, as well as enjoying the twisties. Tomorrow, it's going to be a little work and then a short ride to the local beach.
  4. Don't know how to translate the cut itself, but it's pork (the yellow is mustard)
  5. I am having serious trouble not turning into a grammar nazi, feeling triggered though
  6. You can’t have mine, Pete, get your own I would choose between @Buckster’s Harley and @Sofia’s Speed Triple, or probably @Specs’s GS, can’t hurt to have two
  7. I think he means the youtuber…

Reims was an iconic race back then, the most important in France maybe? Cool stuff! And good on you, I won’t do a 450km ride if it means ending up where I started.
  9. Not lost the ability to spell, but I feel it’s not really apreciated so might as well post the report from the side of a pool while still half though it. Dinner was a bust, but I think I can still turn this around …
  10. It might not, but I wouldn’t tour on a 8 litre/ 100km bike when I have a 5 litre one at home as well, regardless if I’m paying for it
  11. Surely you posted that number wrong?
  12. I know, you have always been cheap on fuel in Spain , it’s both Spain and Luxembourg
  13. Fuel economy is important to me, for three reasons; being environmentally friendly, economy when today I fuelled up at 1,70€ per litre… and range, my bike does more than 600km on a tank when touring if I stay out of motorways, I toyed with the idea of getting a another bike, like a SuperDuke or a SpeedTriple, and honestly can’t even entertain something that only does a little more than a third that
  14. I like this lazy style of doing reports
  15. You could then spring a sudden case of the covid!
  16. My team did fuck all, too
  17. You could maybe not dream so big and stay in the island
  18. I’m working, but there’s no rules as having to work from home.
  19. I agree, time to take the broken record off the record player
  20. Why is it called Arthur stone then? I was reading through it waiting for a mention of a crack on the stone from which a sword could have been pulled...
  21. Got to have standards, The white Cadillac, first on the right lane, all way for me..., or the blue and white pickup second on the left lane, or maybe even better if the picture is clear enough, the red station wagon, fifth on the right lane! ... ...
  22. The last of the great old school motorcycle tracks, the motorcycling's Spa Francorchamps.
