  1. As for riding with a pillion, I think they are also quite suited from a rider's perspective with how they deal with the extra weight.
  2. I never cooked it, my mother and grandmother did while growing up. I have more fun cooking vegetables than meat except on the grill.
  3. Thing is, I ate a lot of rabbit growing up, don't really like it as a meat so prefer to hide it behind a strong sauce.
  4. Not good for saute, you want them stewed ... little bit of tomato, onions, red wine, ...
  5. About the leashes? Talking about keeping the little guys from escaping out.
  6. Can you put cat leashes on rabits for when you want to move vehicles in and out? resisting the joke about onions, carrots, red wine sauce and potatoes
  7. That looks like Porto just an hour ago, before the match started
  8. It's still a road (not race) engine, and a Honda, so even if it's been through hell it's probably good, having said that, if you're not going to use the wheels why buy it? I would go for a pampered one instead, if it was my money. The thought of it having been abused would always be on my mind, that is supposing you would keep it for a long time. Having talked to a few people with pillion experience in a few bikes, there is no comfort for a pillion like a BMW rear suspension and seat (more so on bad roads), be it a GS or an RT.
  9. I rely on my iphone for navigation. Google maps to check which roads to take as you can see tiny ones, not really havingit guidingme but looking at it as a very clever map. Obviously on tour it’s great to find restaurants or stuff like that, and also very practical to have your camera strapped to the handlebar instead of fishing it out of my pocket for a quick picture. The bad point about this is overheating and too cold. When it overheats from sun exposure battery life becomes a joke and I risk damaging it and being without a phone when away, which is far from ideal as my work is done through it. So now I am pondering getting a rugged phone strickly for use as navigation on the bike since they cope with heat a lot better, and not risking a precious phone that way. On the other hand, this would only really be needed three months out of the year or when going to Morocco.
  10. I bet carrying clothing to ride in extreme cold inside the luggage most of the time doesn’t help.
  11. Well, in fairness it probably has increased in value over your ownership? Do you feel it’s stronger now?
  12. That white GS seems to be a partner on most of your travels, any issues compared to the Tenere?
  13. 4 days, 38000 miles!
  14. I really like the look of your local dirtroad. What did you end up replacing in that engine, afterall? And that lake, it’s amazing!
  15. Pete lives in Spain, though
  16. A Corsa is pretty lightweight as far as cars go, but you rarely have to pick them up anyway
  17. Today, in the lazy 1 stop ride report, here's a picture taken in Costa Nova, for a short break and walk. This place is known for its' typical houses being painted with vertical stripes, makes for a pretty street.
  18. I would expect batteries to last a lot less than normal under direct summer sun in over 30º
  19. Came home to parent's since over a month ago when I left for that ride with Sofia. Arrived to a dog that has a rear knee problem and is in rest mode. So I'll probably be in rest mode too during the weekend.
  20. That’s surprising, because he sure goes for the mud
  21. Nice one, Bob what kind of speed is it happy cruising at?
  22. The GS, out enjoying Spring
  23. A lot of that is comfort, and not in the slightest dedicated for going faster since they actually make the make heavier. Then, protection and that silly front wheel, pretty sure all rally racers prefer a normal skinny front wheel for a reason. On the other hand, having a nice suspension is something I think can be appreciated by anyone regardless of pace, you don't need to be at the limit of speed to appreciate something better.
  24. My bike was down for two or three times, but I didn't for one second think of taking a picture before picking it up
  25. Pedro

    Pedro's food

I’m pretty sure, he came over once but only got the tourists’ views
