  1. The GS's toolkit only has three or four things, but then again most screws you'll see from far away are the same T25 head, and there is no chain to adjust. Apart from that they would be fooling you if you think you could fix it with an under seat toolkit. I still have a pletora of all necessary bits and those thing they attach to (second/third language ) in a plastic roll in a sidecar if it comes to be...
  2. Well, I was going to write I am happily drinking myself to sleep when I read that @MooN is having real health and work problems ... so now I´m feeling guilty... hang in there Chris, just know that you are appreciated, at least here. I know you push yourself and appreciate your job but if you are unable to move you won't be of use to yourself or be able to enjoy being off work. Pace yourself! So, I have just finished drinking this very unassuming and simple white grown 20km away, bought today from a lady that owns a wine farm that has pet sheep, got to love that.
  3. Went home for the first time in ages, stopping by my favourite hilltop cafe, bikers were quite happy to be allowed out. I left as they started to arrive: Then stopped by a local vineyard to try a few bottles of local wines: The bike was properly dirty, gave it a wash and rode it dry:
  4. It’s a pretty town for sure
  5. Indeed, lots of knowledge on XRs there.
  6. In Portugal, bifes meaning steaks, or camones from you saying “come on”, sometimes lagostas meaning lobsters after you get your typical “laying drunk on the beach sun tan”, or just the equivalent to “fucking tourists”.
  7. And they did lovely on this:
  8. Ended up changing my tires to a set of TKC70 before going on a 2000km ride around Portugal’s back roads. It was the right choice as they instantly felt good. New:
  9. Fresh pollen in the air usually ruins my rides, don’t envy that one bit. Looking good, though!

    The Vale

Good stuff, Fred, love those easy dirt roads.
  11. I’ll have you know it’s regularly cleaned, after every use!
  12. Restaurants close at 10:00pm, but loads are still closed because it’s not profitable to open. Some hotels are also closed, but we’re coping Rode for 40 or 50km today, before stopping...
  13. Right, it was a TW indeed, I confuse them
  14. I learned to ride and passed my exam on a 225cc one.
  15. Sofia’s entry, posted live from location
  16. Today, at Portugal’s highest peak, near 2000m
  17. The concept of trailbraking is letting go off brakes as you are entering a corner. You not “hitting the brakes” leaning over or starting to brake when starting to lean...!
  18. That is too funny, might even be trendsetting!
  19. Good effort on carrying the little bags with small volume this time. Like packing a donkey, I like it. Carrying an umbrella?

    air

I wouldn’t worry about it, you’re pumping air from the same region. Now if you were to do it on the road quite away from home, then do go for a coffee and give air to get used to each other.
  21. Seems like you guys like your Yamaha fours! We get a very similar style of food truck here, the most common serving hotdogs and burgers but open mostly at night, but during the day we get this bigger trucks carrying their own brick ovens and serving chorizo bread, which is awesome in the winter.
