  1. Ride safe and keep us posted!
  2. We’re two pages into this ride report and that’s just for the packing ... edit: three pages!
  3. Well, sports bikes are alive and well here, plenty of older and new ones around, you see them mostly on sunday mornings, which is fine. Sunday mornings is also the traditional time to go to church, so there might be something there

Sofia’s beef ragu, a mix of Italian with southern Portugal flavours, absolutely fucking amazing
  5. I can, it’s the mute end of the words accent...
  6. Hope he can, you must be so looking forward to not having pain on a lost limb!
  7. On the open road, I think you’ll miss the heavier bike. Just factor that some of those 3000 quid savings will go into a suspension tune to suit it to your weight. I don’t know how much you weight but they are surely tuned for an aggressive 75kg rider. You might not be so aggressive, which will help, but still need stiffer front springs and maybe rear.
  8. They're doing quite well as enduro race bikes in Portugal, and there's quite a few around in the north currently. They ride pretty hard terrain there, wether that translates into a good trail bike I don't know. They are also quite reasonably priced, too, compared to KTM or Honda
  9. Trackdays are more and more popular, and this would make a supreme race series bike. the bot is right, don’t call it a yzf-r7, though:
  10. Hopefully gaining a new appreciation for it and not getting numb next time
  11. Just switch to the left, always nice to vary...
  12. That’s very kind, Bob, and indeed I have been thinking of getting one of that vintage as a way of saving mine for ever with manageable mileage. But I really have no use for that unless I do get that older bike.
  13. Dare I say you’re using way more aggressive tires than the yamahas, @Sir Fallsalot? I don’t get it, why kill the plants? Just plant them on a hill and see if it grows wild! Or are they mainly for selling? Here, personal consumption is not a criminal offence, so there’s no bother is having a plant at home or carrying a small amount.

  18. Because of mobility, won’t this be quite tall to throw your leg over?
  19. Come on @boboneleg, what do you know that I don’t? Camshafts? Alternator?
  20. Be careful with wires, all I know is that if you break them and the magic smoke comes out they then become useless!
  21. Your engine looks like it’s seen quite some mud in it’s life
  22. Mine was made sometime end of 2015, it arrived either January or February 2016
