  1. I would love to see my front garden looking like that. Maybe it would wear off after a couple of days, but it still looks cool.
  2. And... there are plenty of places where you can enjoy a very fast bike on the open road, and play with the performance as well, without being a lunatic. It'll get you a pretty fine or a night in jail, but only if you're caught. I'm not saying it's the politically correct thing to do, but then again politically correct is very boring.
  3. I find it very honest that proper sports bikes are now openly meant to be used on track or on very aggressive riding. Years ago manufacturers would sell equaly aggressive bikes with no emphasis on riding them on the track, although with less power, that made as much sense as selling a motocross bike and have you go trail riding in it. It's cool that Ducati makes a 230hp bike with motoGP levels of electronics, it's also cool that people buy them. I would, if I could ride a bike like that in the way it's meant to be ridden.
  4. Thank you for the very kind words. I'm not an inspiration though, hardly to anyone.
  5. Had this conversation on the phone with a guy that is trade director of a factory, and the twat just plain out has a fucking tantrum over the phone, and on a screaming tantrum is going to increase prices for the whole market. A fucking tantrum! It's like I'm talking with children.
  6. I am hating Spaniards right now, miserable twats. Just a few selected ones, though. Tomorrow I'll be riding to my home, and spending a couple of days alone there, then taking a ride around Alentejo and Algarve next week, just a 3 or 4 day ride with a couple of days stopped in the middle, riding slowly and hopefully enjoying quiet roads.
  7. In dry dusty conditions, for riding offroad, I think lubing it extensively is not your friend
  8. I clean it when I wash the bike, which is not as bad as it seems because I tend to wash the XR almost every time I ride it as it gets really muddy. By cleaning it, I mean spraying some chain cleaner and rinsing off.
  9. That indeed looks like the face of a guy with nine of whatever stuck up his bum.
  10. I've carried a plug repair kit for ages, with three or four bottles Co2 bottles. Never had a puncture, plus I've changed my plug for an USB plug to charge my mobile on the go so no plug for a compressor. I'm thinking I'll be screwed if it ever comes to it on a deserted stretch.
  11. I honestly wouldn't wear one just cruising to the beach in the summer, it's just something that's normal because it's just as it is here, you just "wear a helmet". But I get why you would rather not sometimes. But not a nazi helmet, same as not wearing an SS uniform overcoat when out shopping to help you deal with winter on your way to work

    Scooter Yobs

When every southern european turns up for a drink by the seaside and is faced with brits in our "winter"
  13. If you are a neo nazi, it makes all the sense though
  14. I understand not wearing a helmet, what I don't understand is wearing german WW2 replicas even more so when you're not a neo nazi.
  15. I don't look at that and get a desire to ride it, just a desire to look at it on my way to the bike I'm riding or outside a restaurant
  16. That smells of money, warm sunsets, and chilled prosecco with pecorino I like it
  17. What is happening in Oxford Street in that Picture? That's not a normal amount of people
  18. I spent a long weekend in London on February 2014 with Maria, went to see the Phantom of the Opera, had sushi, codfish and ships, the works. We slept in a hotel not far away from the cafe where that dude got his face burned in "Layer Cake". Good stuff, quite enjoyed it.
  19. I'm sure that's heartbreaking, so sorry to hear.
  20. I like that @Grasshopper's Ride, if you don“t like how the oil drains on your bike maybe try heating up more, in the XR which is also a single cylinder bike (although I'm not sure if that has anything t do with it) I find that after it has almost stopped dripping I hold it tilted to both sides and that frees up plenty more oil from all those little nooks inside.
