Yes, cold for Portugal but way nicer than rain.

I always thought I was 181cm, but my ID card states 183cm, I was very happy to know about those two extra cm even if they're just on paper

If you're not a surfer or really looking for warm beach weather, I would visit in autumn or early spring. Chances of rain increase, but less of a tourist mob and still great weather:

It's an old fishing village, still some typical fishing but very few boats today. It's the world's first surf reserve, lots of brits, dutch, australians and brasilians living there. It's full of female yoga instructors from all over, surfers from all over, and an overall chill vibe, lots of people during the peak of summer though. It's a very pretty place to be in, quite unique in Portugal.

That sounds like a proper ride. How was Estonia? Russia just seems so grim whenever I look at videos of riding there, ugly roads, traffic and weather. Did you go over?

He does in fact appear to be the man.

Dude, wash your slippers!

Talked to a 23 or 25 year old girl who works for one of my client's today. She is fit and does sports. She had covid for a couple of weeks, and the following lung infection left her in bed for a month and a half unable to stand up or speak more than 4 words without stoping for a breath. She's fine now, but can't run or climb stairs without having to catch her breath. Same with athletes, they bounce back to "normal" but for months are left debilitated compared to their previous state. Every sickness is best handled by very healthy and fit young people, that's just fucking common sense. So what? Seriously, a young athlete copes better than an old and debilitated person or someone with a chronic sickness, what kind of idiot thinks this is relevant and should be viewed as an indicator that people and over reacting? Should we ease off on cancer treatment as well since it's deadlier on older people?

A forum should be like a pub or a cafe. You don't just go in and act like you know everyone there, you shouldn´t feel at ease talking to people online in a way that you wouldn't in real life. You get in, go peruse ride reports, a few discussions, and get a feel of the place, if you get in and act like a twat from the get go then that's just what you are* *which is alright, if that's what you are in person as well

I agree that power in any form is something that is always difficult for governments and leaders to give back once they get it. They get a state of emergency and are not easily convinced to give it back, that happens because power corrupts most people and politicians and governments aren't exempt to it. I believe death statistics in european countries to be accurate, there might be a day or two error sometimes but overall I think they are accurate. I also think that whoever thinks covid only seriously affects the already ill or old is an idiot and someone that ironically proves the need of governments to order people to take care. If a significant number of people in the UK think that covid is still a sick people's sickness it might go to explain other opinions that UK people as a whole have expressed lately.

Surely, it doesn't. The UK had 275 people per km in 2019, Portugal had 111 for the same year, I just looked it up.

And they say chivalry is dead!

Dude, that's a stupid thing to say. Only people having trouble have "something seriously wrong" already? Crack a book!

You are a gentleman, Clive, regardless of what they say about you.

I´ll flounce the next time I spend an age editing a fucking video to only get a couple of likes

BMW, KTM, Yamaha, Triumph, at least all these have wire tubeless wheels on their bigger touring traillies.

All that proves my point

It's not a race, though , and I think the UK should have 5 or 6 times the population of Portugal. It takes very little to make our urgent care fold, it's quite worrisome even though I admit might be a step down from the UK.

Looks like you should have to be gentle doing the not sleeping, facing the risk of toppling it over on it's side

Where those cars as tiny as they look from the pictures?

Today was Portugal's worse covid day ever, with 156 deaths. On friday we'll go into lockdown for a minimum of 2 weeks. This lockdown means no restaurants or cafes or other such locations are open except for takeaway and deliveries. Also people have the duty to not go out for pleasure, to work from home whenever possible, and council borders might be checked by the police for people crossing them with no need to do so. Walking pets and exercising is ok unless it's a group, though. It all sounds very reasonable.

since you asked: If we manage to not turn every thread into the same hijacking repetitive mayhem like a few years ago, it'll continue to be ok. Repetitive trolling is what annoyed me in previous iterations, some days here remind me of that, more of that now than a month or two ago. I am a little bit disappointed that the "emotions" option you use to react to posts or threads sometimes may take away from people actually commenting on something they like. For example; in ride reports, some people sometimes put effort into composing a decent presentation, be it with photos or text. They do that trying to share stuff with others, I think actually reading people's comments is what you should get back from it. I do like that I "know" and have friends in people I haven't actually met, simply from hanging out in the same place with them for decades. If most didn't live in a rain pestered island where people drive on the wrong side of the road I might even visit
