  1. Had a little trouble making it not boring, don't know if I made it though. There are a couple of short dirt roads in there, just the kind of stuff I enjoy on this bike. Don't think the camera angle is favorable though, will probably change next time.
  2. Last night was quite cold, and this morning it didn't look promising, a lot of thick fog. Decided to go anyway, and have a coffee on the hills. Coffee shop had a few bikes parked in front, with lots of people around. Plenty of other bikes and bicycles on the road too, so I figured it would get crowded and avoided it. Rode to my secret spot to just look at the view. Didn't take many pictures, but am just finishing editing a video, which isn't turning out quite like I expected, but there you go. Bike got pretty dirty from the dirt roads, too. Ended up having a cup of barley coffee at home
  3. This morning, up on top of a hill, pretty cold and wet down lower but nice and clear when you climbed.
  4. First, that isn't a goat track, it shows up on google maps. Second, my bike's not fat!
  5. I was astounded to find that I have one video with over 5000 views and one with 1300, posted in 2006 and 2007 though, and one of them is 4 seconds long ...
  6. I'd like the control to do that. I´ll have open roads until 13:00 tomorrow, and plan to go for a short ride and make my first video. However, am alone, lonely, had wine with the neighbors, dinner by myself, and can't help but being a little drunk. Some thinks are just unavoidable, I'm just one man!
  7. Good thing about a GSA, is that is tends to make any ass look smaller
  8. it's not new, but it doesn't get old
  9. So today I rode home, from home. Wasn't too cold even though it was pretty cold between 12 and 14º for most of the trip, with hardly any direct sunshine, I know most of you think that's almost too warm to ride in but I'm designed for a different climate Only got a few minutes of rain, but arrived pretty dry, my jacket bought last spring works great in the rain. My jeans are still jeans, though Arrived for a short lived ray of sunshine while I had a deserved coffee in the company of a sparrow. Rode for 250km and only say another bike, that's not common for Portugal on a saturday. Had lunch with my neighbors, who are the only two other people I have met socially in a month, and enjoyed a piece of codfish and plenty of chilled rose, like you do. Then, afternoon, just fixed a couple of GoPro supports on my bike, one on the sidecase which I think works quite well: And another for tomorrow morning's ride, attached to the rear luggage rail, I think it looks quite nice too, no?
  10. Two lasses speaking about chain maintenance, I like that.
  11. Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Just turn your heating on, and then open an close a hot water tap repeatedly to try and get it unstuck, then if it's not too hot try and twist the valve a little, and just tap it slightly. Mine got unstuck like that. It's best to just take it off and clean it by hand, or replace it, but since mine is not easily accessible I got it unstuck the previous way.
  12. Iam not sure I'll vote for him for Twat Of The Year, though, that shoulder destroying center stand would get my vote for a Fail Of the Year Though
  13. Nobody needs a picture of your ass in such high definition that one can appreciate how well waxed it might be, @BusBoy, maybe just declare you had it done and we'll take your word for it.
  14. I would love to see my front garden looking like that. Maybe it would wear off after a couple of days, but it still looks cool.
  15. And... there are plenty of places where you can enjoy a very fast bike on the open road, and play with the performance as well, without being a lunatic. It'll get you a pretty fine or a night in jail, but only if you're caught. I'm not saying it's the politically correct thing to do, but then again politically correct is very boring.
  16. I find it very honest that proper sports bikes are now openly meant to be used on track or on very aggressive riding. Years ago manufacturers would sell equaly aggressive bikes with no emphasis on riding them on the track, although with less power, that made as much sense as selling a motocross bike and have you go trail riding in it. It's cool that Ducati makes a 230hp bike with motoGP levels of electronics, it's also cool that people buy them. I would, if I could ride a bike like that in the way it's meant to be ridden.
  17. Thank you for the very kind words. I'm not an inspiration though, hardly to anyone.
  18. Had this conversation on the phone with a guy that is trade director of a factory, and the twat just plain out has a fucking tantrum over the phone, and on a screaming tantrum is going to increase prices for the whole market. A fucking tantrum! It's like I'm talking with children.
  19. I am hating Spaniards right now, miserable twats. Just a few selected ones, though. Tomorrow I'll be riding to my home, and spending a couple of days alone there, then taking a ride around Alentejo and Algarve next week, just a 3 or 4 day ride with a couple of days stopped in the middle, riding slowly and hopefully enjoying quiet roads.
  20. In dry dusty conditions, for riding offroad, I think lubing it extensively is not your friend
  21. I clean it when I wash the bike, which is not as bad as it seems because I tend to wash the XR almost every time I ride it as it gets really muddy. By cleaning it, I mean spraying some chain cleaner and rinsing off.
