I would say glassy tarmac and/or low pressure tire, or indeed a worn tire. I never get a bald front tire as confidence is lost way before that.

It’s getting the bike’s momentum going back and up that helps you do that. Like most things, when you do it right it doesn’t take any effort, but they’re a bitch if you don’t. Maybe you might have joint problems?

This one time in Brazil, I got so drunk I had to get an ear pierced and a tattoo as well. Very glad my girlfriend convinced me not to, as it would have been a big mistake. On others, couldn’t care less one way or the other but don’t find it attractive.
