  1. That's hardly the best picture of the bike, but it does look sweet
  2. Since tomorrow is Saturday, I'll postpone the vote start until sunday, so that people can get a chance for an extra ride with possibly a couple more entries. I'm just trying to get a video of @Tym riding that thing waving to his mother
  3. Like this amazing example being ridden daily, look at the spark plug socket:
  4. I'm not sure that classifies for BOTM, there, @Tym, you need to have it on a ride. On the other hand, those things make for great run arounds, I love seeing them in Morocco being ridden either around town or accross pretty long distances like it's nothing. They seem to last forever too, regardless of rust or missing parts.
  5. Tomorrow I shall be taking a little ride around, going to do a 150 or so km loop around some twisties and mountain roads, nice and shortish back by mid afternoon kind of thing. Might be joined by a friend on his 800R, but still unsure. It's going to be the return of my winter jacket, as the temperatures are not really over 20ºC.
  6. Once you achieve that level of perfection, why change?
  7. Oh how am I going to laugh at your rant the first time that 650 blows a lightbulb or something like that Looks very nice!
  8. If going rallying, why not go for the full power 450R or X? Although, the 600 mile oil service is all a bit technical, my XR400 also asks for a 600 mile oil change. That's for the americans and their "in worst case scenario" point of view. I have no doubt that if you use it for trail riding with road connections you'll be nice and dandy with 3 or 4000km.
  9. As long as you carry an Omega, it'll bring you home.
  10. Get airplane grade stuff, @Tym, nothing's too good for the KLR
  11. Proper car, or vehicle or whatever, and a really scary crash to have kids in.
  12. They should at least send a bottle of champagne to whoever welded that rollcage.
  13. Perusing my old pictures, I found this oldie from 2010: After which I tried to go artistic with my sand drawing:
  14. That reminds me of Morocco, the light and the color of the dirt. I love it. The road looks is amazing too.
  15. Come on, guys, let's not let it be a duel between my bike and @XTreme's try of a Strom next to some lettuce field! @yen_powell has a shiny new bike, @Earache has a few great pictures from his last ride with the scenery to back it up, I know for a fact @Sofia is holding back on a couple of great pictures of the Triumph, @Grasshopper's Ride surely has plenty of the Himalayan to fight and try to be the first bike to get a second BOTM win and also a consecutive one, @Sir Fallsalot has dirty bike gold, @Specs probably has one of the GS, and @Mawsley has a chance of having the first scooter, @boboneleg surely went out with the T7 or the CRF as well. A plethora of different bikes from all over the world, and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone
  16. It’s the quality of the miles that matter, although Covid probably affected that.
  17. I think they were never sold here. But we had street legal XR600R and the NX650, maybe Honda thought the L would be too much of an effort for a small gain.
  18. I meant having only one vote, meaning no primary vote and then the second one like last month.
  19. This is my entry so far, the mighty GS, freshly washed visiting Lisbon in front of a wall of superheros
  20. Here is the thread for submission of your pictures for Bike Of the Month September, on the 25th I'll start a poll for voting. @XTreme, sticky thread? This time I think we're better not having two votes, it never occurred to me that there would be no way of settling a possible tie , what do you guys think? Also, no tractors, cars, lawnmowers, washing machines, sowing machines, trikes, quads, buses, boats, and other vehicles other than motorcycles will be accepted, but nothing stops you from submitting pictures though, tractors are particularly popular
  21. You're trying to deny the hard truth, that you're made for the Strom
  22. Wouldn’t you be tempted with the faired 250? Probably a lot better for tarmac, and you’re not likely to take it on mud.
