ItchyBoots has ridden a lot, but still I can't watch more than 10 minutes of her videos, her voice annoys the crap out of me and the dutch sense of humor isn´t for me. Also, it seems too "youtuber" for me.

it's a very dusty Iphone 8, @XTreme, simply on the floor leaning against some grass and a rock I am happy enough with it's camera, although it's nowhere near as good as my brother's one with that three or four camera cluster

My iphone, I’ll drop this malarkey and give it a go with a gopro next time I’m around these parts

I warn you, do not see unless you have two minutes of your life to go to waste So yesterday I filmed my drive by at Serra de Montejunto, Today, after washing the bike I went for a cold beer at the river, using drying the bike as a fine excuse to go there, decided to amuse myself trying to get another drive by and catch the bike getting a little air in places where it usually leaves the ground, truck traffic didn't make it easy since all I thought was that the phone would get run over Here's the result, first go didn't film where the front wheel lofts, on the second one the phone fell because of the draft draft and missed the second drive past , all in all a great success in wasting some time But, bike was cleaned, black stuff now looks black again And refreshment was had in a nice location

I am a big fan of Ewan McGregor and the way he likes to tour on motorcycles, not really looking for the hardest offroad but still looking to go off the beaten path, I like that. I think people gave Boorman stick for the shows because he really is quite annoying on tv.

I was being sort of lazy after lunch, a few work e-mails and then started to think of just staying home snoozing instead of going out for my ride. Made an effort thinking it would be the first time I would be riding my familiar roads with the new suspension. At first thought of visiting a friend but didn't really feel like being with anyone and headed for the hills. On the way up, this is maybe my favourite piece of 2km road in this area, bumpy on tight corners with tree roots lifting the tarmac, unfortunately you can't see any of that in this video: Had a good cup of coffee in my favourite cafe up there, regardless of how hot the weather is at my home, up here under these trees it's always nice. A few bikes turn here on sundays, but it's always calm on week days. Heading back down: Someone left a nice couple of circles, I wouldn't be brave enough to do that here. Back in Azambuja I decided to make this a sort of dark motorcycling themed thing as it was a little to early to go home and I felt like taking a little more advantage of the afternoon, ended up with more of a ruin motorcycling than dark. Went to visit the Palacio das Obras Novas (also known as Palacio da Rainha, queen's palace), this building was erected in the end of the eighteenth century and acted as a control point for ship that used to travel in this canal between Lisbon and Vila Nova de Constancia. They had a hotel or an inn of sorts as support for the steam boat traffic, but since the surrounding area was pretty majestic it attracted important guests for long stays, becoming well know for Kind D.Carlos enjoyment of the place. (There you go, culture!) The road leading to it goes through tomato fields, but the last straight used to be lined with a very impressive row of huge palm trees, all gone now from a palm tree beetle infestation a few years ago: Before the bugs ate the palm trees it used to look like this, not my picture: Riding back, past a few trailers full of tomatoes ready to go for the local tomato juice factory, most of the tomato pulp in Portugal is made here. They might be a little overloaded Made it back home pretty dusty.

It’s their life, had everyone been outside the roads would have been crowded. Pot farmers and distributers need to pay for fuel too!

Great stuff, I loved it. I found those cabins with the wheels on top really cool looking, did the wheels serve any purpose?

Donkeys attack with mountains of cuteness! 63 in a 55 is just silly, glad he understood the error of his ways.

This reminds me, Adventure Motorcycles Bike Of The Month is run on Lisbon time, because fuck you to the rest of the world. London is on the same time, so as luck had it you are in synch.
-
Congratulations @Grasshopper's Ride, Bagheera is Adventure Motorcycles' Bike Of The Month for August 2020, a rare but very sought after honor. You have it in you to honor everyone with a few words, if you wish to do so. Don't rest on your laurels, though! September is going to be fierce in competition and so far no-one has kept this title for a second month. Do you think you have what it takes?
-
To everyone in the world!
-
What do you mean, we're still in August, how do you know we won't have a surge of people voting on the last few hours? To be honest, all of 11 votes is a little small turnout, I think you need to get on the case and send a notification to members next month, to let people know what's going down.
-
Did you catch it swimming Bruce?
-
Great looking sky, Pete, cool pictures
-
That looks like the kind of offroad I enjoy doing, and some great roads too.

Here are our three contenders for August Bike Of The Month, two Royal Enfield Himalayans and one Triumph Speed Triple. Cast your votes, and let's find out which bike goes on the banner next month. @Grasshopper's Ride's Royal Enfield Himalayan, Bagheera in the lush forrest. @Skippy's Royal Enfield Himalayan, out on the mediterranean coast @Sofia's Triumph Speed Triple RS, on top of a hill with the ocean in the distance.
-
You are very welcome. I'll close this now, and start the new vote with all three bikes, both Himalayans and the Speed Triple. Couldn't get more diverse.
-
Well, bunch of manly bikers and the two bikes most voted are ridden by the two forum regular ladies. If all the rest of us man losers don't get a vote it'll be between the ladies to go for the main vote.
