  1. Sunrise pictures are pretty great, and your brother's place is awesome. Looking forward to the rest.
  2. That's cool, I only asked because offroad pictures from Wales always seem so remote.
  3. Cool stuff, how many miles did you do offroad?
  4. Pedro

    good afternoon

I don’t think a dungeon has to be underground, though, pretty sure any closed space where you keep chained prisoners can be called one, or am I wrong? If so, it makes a lot more sense. I love your bike’s colour, best looking Tiger ever!
  5. Is that glass fibre or plastic? Isn’t it going to ruin your bike’s “proper metal made in usa” thing?
  6. Can you still have narrow rims with those?
  7. FB hookups are never a sure thing ...
  8. Ted Simon’s a cool dude for sure
  9. I wouldn't trade my GS for anything else, except maybe if I wanted to go on a proper offroad route across Portugal, or maybe exploring Morocco properly by myself. Part of me wants to take the GS which is the bike I love, but part of me also wants to spare it the abuse and take something that deals with the terrain in an easier fashion. They don't have tubeless tires though, are the rims easy to convert? I hate the idea of changing tubes on a hot afternoon.
  10. I used to get a lot of that when I was getting to know Maria's friends in Lisbon, they never swear down there, while my northern self am used to a more colorful language. I used to get a few blank stares when I opened up to them
  11. Already cut pieces of mango?
  12. That’s great, very UKish I am fighting the urge to go look at a T700 as a stablemate to the GS, for more offroad oriented trips, your reports aren’t helping
  13. Oh, go on, I’m drinking for the both of us
  14. Actually, the person I rode the longest with was someone completely different of myself, who I grew to like dearly. Me and Maria were arriving to Morocco and checking into a hotel and we met outside. Me and her carried all our stuff for two weeks in two side vario cases in the shortened position, he carried three huge aluminium cases just for himself, for one week Turns out he lived 20km away from my parents, and somehow we were instant friends and travel companions. We were so different on the bike that you had to laugh at it. I travel in jeans and a light jacket, so we got on the bike fast and effortless, while he always took his time, taking a last puff on the electric cigarette thing, gloves and helmet on, then realizing he forgot to put his earphones on and takes helmet back off, put earphones on and helmet back on, scrambles to find his phone and plug the earphones, gloves back on, then gloves back off to put the electric cigarette somewhere more handy, then finally we're off, and then he shoots off at Warp5 and gets lost because Maria was doing the navigation and we rode slowly. We did almost a week of this, and I really appreciated the humor of it because he was a great guy and did it in a relaxed manner very much his own. Got a few pictures or video of myself on the bike and him scrambling to get ready. Going through villages slowly he was always on my rear, and popping wheelies at every single speed bump. You had to love a guy that carried 1 bottle of gin, 1 bottle of whiskey, and 1 bottle of vodka on his trip to Morocco, that allowed us to spend an afternoon drinking G&T on a pool in the Sahara. Rui passed away a couple of years ago, that was very sad news, I would have loved to go on another trip with him.
  15. I have problems riding with most people, in fact I've only ever travelled with two other bikes because of that same thing, drives me mad looking back and not being the bike bike following me or having to worry if they're too close when I find an obstacle or need braking harder than normal. I do enjoy company when out of the bike but riding with other people is not something I usually do, partly because I have my own rhythm of doing things, most of the time it annoys me being both rushed to get on the bike, or waiting for someone to faff around with their helmet and stuff. Then once we get going I admit my pace varies a lot just on the mood I'm in, and I dislike riding faster than I feel like, or slower than I feel like. I'm basically a very selfish person
  16. A ride report on the wrong place? TOTY contender? By testing, do you mean to see if he's quick enough? Because if you're way in the distance he can't really be of any danger
  17. Well, game on, I'll be the namby pamby then...
  18. Because of snow? won’t everyone be snowed in or freezing?
  19. Pete, as soon as November rolls in, BOTM will be ours for months, or Bob’s
  20. Not bad of an idea for your bike
  21. I voted for Moon's bike, because it is the only Triumph trail bike I ever liked looking at, and it also makes me want to ride in France, which is something I never wanted to before.
  22. I am torn between the T7 and the Triumph
  23. Oh come one, I meant it as a complement
