Well, that either worked great because she got euphoric to be alive, or terrible if she thinks you almost got her killed.

I think that's not offroad, Pete, it's just the camera angle ?
-
I’ve been thinking of a Moto Guzzi roadster sort of bike for months, or a bigger 600 thumper for Morocco offroad ...
-
They’re stinky, though ...
-
I got worried for a moment

Pete, do you paint the letters on your tires?

I have no problem with Jetskis per se, but same as motorcycles a twat can ruin any place where people are just trying to enjoy a quiet moment. You can blast the water as hard as you want and enjoy yourself, but when you're just doing doughnuts on the water for 15 minutes at a time and not moving more than 50m away from the waterside cafe, you're a twat. You're also a twat when you start your bike for 5 minutes before leaving said cafe and never stop revving it through that time, or arrive causing exhaust explosions with your cut off switch, you're the same twat no matter what vehicle you chose to enjoy. Hell, a twat can even ruin that same quiet place without any kind of noisy vehicle, just by arriving on foot ?

How To Tune A Carburetor—About Those Needle Jets
Pedro replied to Hugh Janus's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT
Hey, @Tym -
If I was carrying a 50liter top case on a ride to a lake on a hot summer day, better believe there would be a cold drink and a beach towel inside. That looks great for a swim.

They're quite capable, you just have to not care if you break it. I care ?

I am, but feel a lot older ?

Life happened, since we last met I dropped a few kgs, then gained a lot again with good living, and a few more on top of those from bad habits after Maria passed, and then started to drop a few kgs again and managed to loose about 11 or 12kg since September. Now, after about a month at home drinking wine after dinner, who knows ...

LOL, I was asking what year was the Sportster on Tym's picture. But that video of the old school chopper kicking RR ass is still awesome ?

I'm feeling blue and nostalgic, It was bought as a replacement for my very unreliable but comfy R1150GS for two up touring on rough roads, and for that it is the best. Nowadays, I like it's balance, torque, etc, but I love it for the memories ...

@Tym, love that! What year was it?
-
Sure will, Pete. Count on it.
-
Maybe it was just the colour being less funky than the previous bike, it affects personality too.

I know, Pete. Myself, I was looking forward to two or three big rides this year: June, warm souther Portugal ride to the Algarve for a week on the beach for my birthday. August, maybe Algarve, maybe south of Spain. I've got a friend in Murcia who promised a good paella and a couple e great local tapas when I visit. Late September / Early October, Morocco, I've been gathering courage to go back but am unsure if this is the year I'll be able to go. Renewing my passport anyway.

Everyone here is anticipating if the government is going to lift a few of the restraints on the weekend. Things is, we've avoided the great mortality hit Spain has taken but as such have yet to get a drop in mortality as it seems that by avoiding quick high mortality you're just spreading the same amount of butter on a bigger slice of bread. I am about to go insane, and go out and start kissing random people on the street.

That’s the kind of off-roading I enjoy on the GS, Pete. Nice and easy, and hardly gets your bike dirty.
