  1. Told you, they won’t forget.
  2. Now that’s a cool looking road, Marcel! Thank you for sharing.
  3. No, just going for a coffee and to pay a bill for regular maintenance on Sofia’s Speed Triple. You vulture!
  4. That scene though, that’s very british and something you’ll rarely see in southern Europe. Cool stuff! Also pubs with good food are very nice. Post a proper ride report if you can.
  5. You went horizontal and everything, I can see the effort! Helmet on the ground like a pikey, though.
  6. You plan ahead. I bet if you really want one you can make it work. Plenty of people ride Harleys and those are maybe similarly heavy so there’s a way. I had a sit on one and it felt similarly huge as a Harley does, they make a conventional European touring bike seem small and practical.
  7. Tomorrow I shall walk Costa, then wash the GS which is still full of sand and filthy from the rainy trip of a few days ago. Then will have lunch and in the afternoon take it to Porto for a coffee and a visit to my mechanic friend.
  8. Looks like an interesting area. Will you stop for pictures, and then write a few sentences to then post on a ride report? I would like to learn more about that area.
  9. In their defence, they’re probably hitting one of the guys they’re seeing.
  10. I don’t really follow that show but I think the bird in the pink dress is to blame for all of that commotion.
  11. So you're a biker, a fascinating person, a scientist who helps Jack Bauer fight bio attacks, a musician, and the only thing you can talk about is attack Jesus?
  12. You think a lot of people buy those to go trail riding? Andre Vilas Boas, portuguese football coach and overall motorsports and rally enthusiast has an ex-Dakar race bike in which he used to commute to train FC Porto, so you might have a point He has experience racing so can surely handle the bike, I just found it funny that that was his choice of commuting vehicle.
  13. Let me put it in pictures, so it's easier: Proper race bike for sale: Silly Marketing that sells cruisers:
  14. I honestly don't know, mate. Take pictures of the sky or buy a house in Spain? Maybe go to church and pray for an idea? Edit: I'm not a moderator or the owner, but it just gets old when you two go on and on about it for sport. Also, consider some people might have their own existencial doubts on the subject and might consider it poor taste to see it discussed in that fashion.
  15. isn't that a big part of the 100 people who buy this? Looking at it as money wasted for posing, though, I'd rather ride this to the cafe down the street for a beer by the beach than a 210hp ducati with fancy stickers on it. Similar money? Both pointless?
  16. I’ll act like the moderator here and ask not to soil every thread with the creation/bible discussion.
  17. That’s worse than owning a Lamborghini!
  18. Hydroform. Mark my words, soon it’ll be bigger than 270° cranks. Give it a couple of years, maximum.
  19. Did that one have Pirelli tires? That might be the answer.
  20. Why do they keep going on about it having Pirelli tires?
  21. I don’t see it that way. I’ve had arthritis on my right hand’s fingers, it didn’t in the slightest make it harder to pick a bike up but would have made riding very painful had it been on the left hand’s fingers. Had it not gotten better I would have no doubt about having something like that now. I do think you’re right partially, it’s a gimmick to provide a novelty factor to be talked about and help justify increasing prices, but at the same time demographics mean most bikers tend to be older and this richer than when most bikers were young.
  22. Not a joke though, and if that’s why people go for one then fairplay to them.
