Very cool, what's the grip level with studs on ice compared to, for example, normal rubber tires on gravel?
-
Did you run your own motorcycle and riding gear to do that? Doing those kinds of mileage you have to factor in buying a replacement bike every 3 to 4 years, along with proper gear to do it year round in the UK?

Give him a couple of hours with Everts and DeCoster, pretty sure he’ll pick things up quick enough to have Carmichael asking for 1 on 1 tuition. He’s quick like that. Throw a coffee chat with some left field talent nobody like Jean Michel Bayle and he’ll be top dog, he’ll just take over the whole thing. -
I wasn’t when I got mine, am now but it’s too late to change now that it’s got a new shaft.

They might ask Carmichael to teach him. Will be a quick couple of hours, he picks things up quickly. -
Forget Spanish, it’s Welshman after 20 years in Andaluzia, it’ll give the talented man a headache.
-
Get Daniel Day Lewis to play you, Pete. Not many people can do the accent of a Welshman after 20 years of speaking Spanish on the street.

What are the chances your videos will be used by Hollywood to edit a big production for cinema?

One of the tv series I have never skipped the entry theme music to. Cool stuff!

They wouldn’t have dared, it was a shit engine assembled poorly in the early days of chinese plants, it wouldn’t last one race stint. Motocross at high levels is brutal on engines, and 250 even more and every horsepower counts, that’s why I think Triumph rocks to even go for it. -

BMW never sold it for Motocross though, did they? What I meant is that taking on Honda and Yamaha and KTM and Husqvarna on what is a 250 race bike coming from an unknown brand needs, it needs the engine to be faster and better than the others from stock or else there's no point. The engine on those BMW 450, as well as the X650 challenge bike were not good at all, were they? All I ever hear about them were serious design and manufacturing flaws. Plus, the 250 motocross class is what, the most demanding class for engines? -

It must, only way to enter that class is with a top engine, otherwise it's dead in the water. -
talking about bad shafts is bad juju

Here they use them to check if Asian wasps are around, as they're quite dangerous.

It's probably a wasp trap.

Sorry @Sir Fallsalot, it’s a cool picture but should have put it on before. I go on and on that you can always replace them later if you get a better one. Not to worry though, there’s always December / Bike Of The Year and you’ll be able to submit any picture you want from 2023.
-
@XTreme, please unstick this, but don´t lock it. I seem to have some difficulty as a couple of the pictures seem to be a little small, don't know if I'm doing something wrong, anyway. The vote thread has been created.

Seems a lot of our members might be a little intimidated by the magnitude of submitting their bike for Motorcycle Riders Bike Of The Month contest, it is a world renowned title after all and that responsibility weighs heavy on some. Let's hope December brings a little better conditions along with a more favorable schedule for most. Votes will be less dispersed than usual which will make for a more exciting vote. The poll is set to end at 21:00 on the 30th November, and you'll be able to change your vote until then, as well as look at who voted for whom. Here are our five entries: @Pedro's BMW R1200GS Adventure exploring dirtroads in Alentejo: @Saul's Honda CB750 Hornet, posing by Tintagel's old post office: @Six30's BMW S1000R, red and clean, he is cool and confident enough to not even look for a special location, just stop somewhere and go: @Tango's Triumph Street Scrambler 900 out amongst Autumn colours on a romantic French canyon road: @XTreme's Honda CB500X, exploring Andaluzia's aqueduct network:

What makes someone choose Bender as a nickname? Does it mean something else I’m unaware of?

No ride this month, Bob?

If everyone is cool with it, I’ll close submissions at 18:00. @Sir Fallsalot, no picture?
