    Old bike.

Don't be daft it's gonna be years before she can have anything but an A2 bike.

    Old bike.

I think there were about 6 and a couple of DRZ's as well.

That's true of anything the state administers though. Practically need a loan to get a Passport now, and let's not start on speed cameras. I am pretty comfortable with my kids having plenty of training before being let loose on the latest unrestricted Sports Bikes. The further point I agree, but there are plenty of fuckwits out there that need controlling for the safety of others.

I would say so, I suppose I would have a different opinion if I had to do it but I think it is generally a good thing. The old system here was pretty much a joke and looking back bloody dangerous. Mind you a different time with much less volume of traffic. Used to be able to ride a 50cc at 16 then 250cc at 17, do an easy test then anything you could afford.

Next step is that she will be able to ride her 125 on the road with L plates from her 17th birthday in October. As I understand it she can take her A1 test to lose the L plates as soon as she is ready, then at 19 she can do her A2 test to ride up to a 47 BHP bike. Either as standard or restricted. Then at 21 she can do her full unlimited license. Not easy to get a full license here.

It stands for Compulsory Bike Training. You have to do it in the UK to be able to ride on the road as a learner.

    Old bike.

Just seen my old Himalayan in the showroom up at Damerells. Done 7k now as opposed to 3k when I traded it in. Still spotless so has been looked after. Lovely 66 plate VFR, that is seriously tempting, well to me anyway. Big old beast but DCT, shame. Yes please Bit fugly to my eye Shadows dream bike Nice old Bonnie Now this is probably a marmite bike but I like it. You probably wouldn’t fit in with the Harley crowd because it isn’t a Fat/Wide/SlideGlide or what ever they ride. You also wouldn’t fit in with normal people because it’s a HD. Shame, cool bike. IMHO.

She is fine, just dropped her off and the first question she asked was how many were on the course, so she knew how many she had to beat . I did say it’s not a competition but that is not her life outlook, has to be the best. Gotta go back at 4:30 to pick her up.

Taking Shadow up to Damerells to do her CBT today. Shed is just a tad nervous this morning. I am sure she will be fine but will be glad to get her there.
  11. Yeah I thought that, dramatic to say the least. I spent most of the video thinking leave the fucking front brake alone.
  12. Here is one for you competent off roaders to laugh at. New 200kg plus bike off road with no experience, what could possibly go wrong? @boboneleg @Sir Fallsalot.

Sort of, the Regatta is in Fowey so we all went over to Polruan for a bit of relief from the crowds. It happens every year.

I don't think I have mentioned it but it is Fowey Regatta Week at the moment. Tis sort of a big deal for us Yokels. Anyway spent my day across the water in Polruan yesterday with some life long friends. Good day if a little pissed and sung out by the end of it.
  18. I totally get that mate and we all know very little about what happened in that instance. Personally I have noticed a plethora of fuck nuts on bikes this year. And yes I see plenty of terrible driving, especially this time of year as the Duchy is overrun with Holibob's in unfamiliar road conditions. A 70 year chap was killed down at Marazion a couple of week ago on the way to bike night. Turns out a tractor and trailer (harvest time) coming out of a field he was tearing around a bend on his Panigale (according to his mates), had no chance. Whose fault? Whatever, it is very sad. This chap sounds like a rugged individualist. https://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/news/19556398.motorbike-crash-marazion-police-appeal-dash-cam-footage/
  19. 3 x 50's plus guys on Ducatis doesn't sound like a good proposition. Tis sad though a tragedy that will touch many lives.
  20. I may be alone in this but I think the Victory's I have seen locally are way cooler looking bikes than Indians.
  21. Yeah I have been following him for a couple of months. He makes me laugh how he gets distracted and waffles on. Clever and interesting guy though.
