Anyone got any experience with one of these? I impulse bought it a couple of weeks ago and haven't got around to fitting it yet.

I remember those Kangols they made people look like they were Saltarens from Dr Who.

Thor is the only one local that doesn't have a cafe attached or on site here. Dameralls where my bike came from have a great burger bar attached and it is always busy. Makes the Dealership more of a ride destination if you can chill and have a drink or whatever.

It's the first time I have seen a Mash in the flesh, looked bloody smart to me. I have read about poor quality cycle parts on them though, weather that is still relevant I don't know. I went up there today as they are going to be selling the new BSA Goldstar and wondered if they had one on show to look at, but they aren't getting them until November the 1st. Had a good look at some Shoei helmets and they looked stunning.

Yeah they do pack them in pretty tight, similar thing up at North Cornwall Motorcycles to. I would hate to see the results if one of those Indians went over, must have been 30 of them in the showroom. Very expensive set of dominoes. I have often wondered about their dealership as they all sorts there. They have a real good selection of Helmets and clothing as well as bikes. Good shop with a good reputation though. I seem to remember when they opened they were just Norton and Indian. Just classic Nortons in the showroom now. I was very tempted by a Benelli 400 Imperale before I got the Himalayan, but ultimately went with what I thought would be more rugged and reliable for everyday use and commuting. From memory I think they are dealers for Indian, Fantic, Morini, Benelli, Beta, Reijue (sp), CF Moto, Zontes, Mutt and Mash.

I had a couple of hours to spare this morning so I thought I would pop along to my closest to look at the pretty things. Got chatting to chap who was having his bike serviced there who wanted to know about the Himalayan as he has a new RE Classic 350 bought from the same dealer as me. I had a good long look at what I couldn't afford, wished Thor had a coffee shop then came home. I would like to have gone further but still feeling a bit ropey from the Covid jab yesterday. Nevermind was a good day for a Bimble in the sunshine.

I love that, you would need a bike to match though. R100C or Jota or Guzzi

Thats what I had Black and Gold trim Clubman, cool as, I thought

II haven't seen a Bell in the flesh for years I just remember they were good. I had a Griffin many years ago and loved that both in looks and comfort. I do like the look of Schuberths but they are spendy, perhaps when I have recovered from buying the bike but I am in no hurry I am happy with what I have got for now.

I have the Better Call Saul T-Shirt that was given to me by one of my customers when I was self employed.
-
I have a new Royal Enfield branded full face which is comfy and quiet, I am guessing middle of the road for quality but I like it. I have a new cheaper open face which is fine but noisy. I quite fancy a Bell, but I had a Caberg flip back in the day and I liked that.

I did warn you there would be daft questions

Knowing him he wouldn't mind a bit of Robin hood cosplay

That one is probably pushing 20 so time to go I think.

I am working on it, but 18 year olds know everything and believe they are made of teflon. He has some proper boots but wont wear them.
-
Yeah stents done, lot fitter and smaller. Plus consuming much less crap.
-
I offered it to my boy for his twist and go 125 but he wasn't interested. Before you say, yes Dad did buy him a new helmet, decent riding jacket and leggings. I am still working on him to wear some decent foot. ware.

True dat. Part of the reason I decided to go back to biking now was that I felt if I didn't do it soon I never would. I had a health scare last year and that put a few things into perspective.

Fair enough I had a feeling that might be the answer, I have a couple of new lids, I was just loathed to chuck this one away. Bit of an emotional attachment, but I will bin it.

Kids, job change, finances and life in general. It's complicated

I did promise a daft question or two.. Anyway I have this old BMW System 4 helmet which I believe was made by Schuberth. The interior is knackered and it needs a new visor. Is it worth doing or even possible. I would like to revive it as it was a lovely comfy quiet lid back in the day and I would hate to think how much the new equivalent would cost. Has anyone done something similar or is this just a batshit idea and the thing needs binning?

I don't mind his reviews, not sure i would want to spend any time in his company. I don't mind Stuart Fillingham on Youtube, he does drone on but I find it comforting Enfield chat . .

Yes in plentiful supply, anything from a early CG125 would fit it. In fact lots of the parts on it were stamped CG125, even though it was a Sukida SK125. I remember that I could have bought a 150 motor for with carb brand new in a box for £395, of course not really worth it but it was possible.

Here is a bike in a box i bought back in 2011 from Ebay. I bought from a company in Portsmouth for £700 delivered. I had to build it and register it myself but I think it was a bargain. I commuted on it for 3 years and put 12,000 miles on it then sold it on for £400. In fact I think this photo is. one that I took to advertise it for sale. It is obviously a CG125 clone and my last bike before the Himalayan. To be completely honest I really enjoyed it, only thing was that it would only do 58 flat out and not really fast enough to keep up with traffic. So you always felt a bit vulnerable.
