Don't mention her on here much but it was my eldest's last day at Duchy College yesterday (centre frame with sunglasses). No longer a student and out in the real world. I couldn't be more proud of her, a lovely young lady and probably the only adult in our family.

I wish I knew it better. Been down there on the piss a few times and I did have a girlfriend that moved there many years ago but I haven't been there for probably 30 years excepting today. Hayle I know a little better.

Great Wall Tourers Power and Performance Details

That thing looks like it should be in a Judge Dredd movie. -
I never thought I would utter these words but I do think that looks pretty smart.

Stunning weather here, nothing important to do so just went for a bimble that turned out being 5 hours and 110 miles. For starters I got one of this mesh things to see it it helped Shadows ever sensitive butt. It works apparently . And yes before anyone mentions it I know it makes my bike look like a Himalayan that has had a Temu parts cannon fired at it But if it stops the moaning I will bear it. Got through morning St Austell school run congestion then on to Truro where some bell end in a white A4 fulfilled the stereo type and near rear ended us. Frightened the fuck out of Shadow who proceeded to give him her whole vocabulary of expletives and gestures when we pulled up beside him at the next lights . It’s her angry time of the month, the rage she’s demonstrated is quite disturbing. A few more miles and I took the wrong turning and rode through Penryn town centre to Falmouth. Of course we couldn’t ride past Maccies, I thought a McFlurry would calm the beast plus I needed a bladder break. We rode onto Falmouth Station car park (free to bikes) then walked down to events square for a look at the river. At this point Shadow was raging because we never fitted the giant top box for our helmets and jackets as we had to carry them. Actually I will next time I thought it was a good idea if we are going to mooch about when it’s hot. Having done Falmouth we headed further west to Helston as Shadow has never been there and I haven’t for years. More free parking Then we walked into Helston for a Costa Stunning weather but my head was glistening according to my company Suitably fed and watered we headed off to Wendron. An absolutely stunning village on the way to Redruth. Managed to get out of Dead Rough, as it’s known down here, unscathed and stopped in Scorrier for some fuel, CBF averaging 58mpg. Then out onto the new A30 and blast back to Innes Downs and home through the clay country. Stunning ride with great company, much as I moan about Shadow we get on really well and laugh a lot. The CBF is running like a Honda, a very comfortable pleasant way to travel. Will even pick up its skirts and blast along with a few revs, best £1100 I have ever spent. Now chilling, while Shadow is off down the beach with her mate, having worn me out for the day.

Blood transfusion day. I was checking back through the CBF’s service history and its last oil change was at 28k and it’s now cracked 32k. Shouldn’t be a problem as the service intervals are 8k I thought until I checked and the last service in the book was done in 2019. Anyway I dropped into Dameralls today so picked up a filter, oil and crush washer. It was £69 fucking quid. Every fibre in my being wanted to say stick it up your pipe but I think more in shock than anything I just paid up and left. Won’t be buying it there again. Anyway did the deed tonight when the sun went in. Why are the sump plug and filter always done up with fucking gorilla strength FFS. It’s lucky I have the proper Honda filter tool as I genuinely don’t think I could have gotten the old filter off without it.

Are you channelling your inner 16 year old girl. You are not far off the mark to be fair.
-
I do get that but the £5K difference in value is the issue. Opposite to her understanding I'm not flush enough for those sort of whims, plus I have two other kids.
-
The problem is she wants to upgrade it to a Red CBR650R, which isn't on the cards. She told me today that I should get one because I deserve it . I am totally happy with what I have but she has plans.
-
She's always planning something Problem is she's knows she is the golden child and that I am essentially way to soft with her.

It was pretty nice but had been well detailed. Definitely see it was used, plenty of age related stuff, plus 08 with 19K on it I thought £4000 was strong money for it.

Just been out for a cheeky 75 miles bimble on the CBF with my Shadow. Partly to try out my new screen and partly just to be out there. Dropped into Dameralls for an oil filter and a few bits. Obviously Shadow had to have a Sausage sandwich then got all unnecessary because boys in Dameralls. Did crack a smile for once. Chuffed to bits with the new screen massive improvement over the stock one and with the deflector much quieter as well. Actually hear the bike keys rattling at times and stuff in my tank bag moving around. Much more road noise as well but that was obviously masked by wind blast before. We then set off for Bodmin Scooter Centre as my boy needs a new rear tyre for his Ped. Then home. Gonna wait for the sun move so I can service the CBF. To Scorchio out there at the moment.

I’ve seen pictures of you, you would not have been out of place there

She won't admit it but she loves the singing and knew the words to everything we sang. I think the chance of a Rattler drew her along though

Well my groups day of song went like a charm, over 100 singers and a crowd of just over 500, many more outside the marquee. All food sold out, don't know numbers for beer sales yet but pretty sure there were plenty. Been a bit jaded today and I reckong my voice has dropped an octave. Great day though and as far as I can tell everybody happy.

I will get back to you to see how I get on with and without the tank bag and the new screen. Sure I could make something similar if need be. I remember my old BMW R100RS had bellows type gaiters between the fairing and fork tubes and I always thought that was just about water but looking back it obviously blocked air as well. That RS fairing was bloody good, very quiet and dry place to be even in the pissing rain as long as you were moving.
-
Some goodies turned up yesterday so had a play this morning. I had the tank bag already but had to get a second ring so that I can use it on this bike. Also getting a lot of buffeting and turbulent air off the standard screen so got a taller one to see how that goes.

Thanks Fred that’s interesting. I had a small interest in something similar but not the same when I was a 16er. There was a group of us on Fizzies and AP50’s and decided to wear cut off denim’s with back panel painted white with Blaise written along the bottom. One of the lads was an artist and did a good job. Early 1980’s. Anyway after about a week of riding around several of us were around a caravan rented by a couple of local girls where we used to hang out. Next thing we’re knew the lights went out and 4 guys from the local bike group burst in with a sawn off shot gun and threatened us, took our denims and burnt them. Needless to say that was the end of that. Fucking shit us all up good and proper. Anyway over the years I got to know several of the group, in fact at one point I used to deliver the post to their club house. Never had an issue with any of them, probably didn’t hurt that I was related to one of them as well. I could tell several tales but won’t on the forum. They were the only group locally that I knew of and that was why I was surprised to see these new groups popping up, I didn’t think they would be tolerated. But as I said I know nothing of this world now and certainly have no interest in getting involved in it. Well apart from the HOC UK that is

Woohoo just had the call and I don't have to work tonight so a good night's sleep for tomorrow's antics.
-
Do you spend a lot of time in front the mirror ?
-
Mate I am past caring about any of that sort of stuff, we are all here for a short time, might as well be happy and have a laugh.
-
Fair enough, I don't really know much about any of it or really want to just had a passing interest because I met a couple of them. I'm pretty civil and respectful to everyone I meet so don't need to make any different effort, nothing to do with intimidation just the right way to be. You obviously know more about this world I will respect and listen to what you have to say.

Yeah it says that on their website, but they are throwing their net wider apparently looking for associates.
